how this generation is jumping on board to take part in this. Yesterday, at an easter lunch, my young nephew--who has never been politically active--talked so eloquently about his caucus experience on election day here in Texas. He said the number who turned out in his district was crazy! In the past elections, he said he's never been inspired to get involved but this year with Obama, not only is he inspired, but so many of his friends are too. He said their generation "gets it" and that maybe, finally, all the racial woes of the past, that have plagued this country for so long, can be put behind us if we have a president who sees both sides of the coin. I was stunned at his knowledge and inspired by him. He's never been politically active. :wow:
He also said, his generation sees beyond "black and white" and hopes that this will be a beacon for progress and not more of the same with McCain. He can't stand McCain because he thinks it would be just another Bush WH. We talked about the 119,000 republicans who crossed over to vote for Hillary and we laughed because now they can't vote republican for a year.
I'm so impressed with this generation. For those who say Obama can't win aren't looking at the broader picture. Each generation will make their mark on who will define history.
It was very inspiring.
