Brand new MN rasmussen poll: Obama leads McCain by 4, Hillary trails by 1
Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 09:25 AM by thesubstanceofdreams
Obama leads McCain, 47-43
McCain leads Hillary 47-46

This is just one poll for one state, but I think it's the beginning of a trend where we'll see Obama recovering from the hit he took due to the Wright issue.

Edit, oops forgot link: http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/minnesota/minnesota_2008_presidential_election

3. What I believe is that Obama took a short-term hit in the polls

and he's starting to recover from that. Of course repugs will beat the Wright drum all the way to hell, but more and more it's going to have an impact only among rightwingers who wouldn't have voted for Obama anyway.

2. Polls about the general are absolutely irrelevent right now...
McCain is complete toast no matter what, he is running as a Bush clone

4. I agree that they're mostly irrelevant

They're just a snapshot of public perception and imperfect at that. Sadly, I disagree that McCain is "toast no matter what". If the repugs are good at something is at winning/stealing elections. We have to take the presidential race very seriously and take nothing for granted.

7. SUSA has the best card according to.... SUSA

I agree they've been rather accurate this year though.
But I believe SUSA's poll is a day or two older than this Rasmussen poll. That proves my point - Obama is starting to leave pastorgate behind in the polls.
