This is fucked up.....

Can we count on the Bush admin to do a fair investigation of this? Seems to me they'll want to cover for the Clintons any way they can.

1. I'd wait for an investigation first before linking any political campaigns to this

19. I don't think we will ever know...
as usual. The worst thing about cover-ups is that they promote speculation. The whole story is bizarre.

3. Let's not make assumptions
Hopefully some reporters can dig out the facts, whatever they are.

Ain't no way an internal investigation ever will.

12. Come on! As an Obama supporter, I don't like the speculation that HRC was behind this at all.
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 10:32 PM by myrna minx
Would Bushco do this? Yes. This reeks of Bushco. Their crimes are too numerous to count. I'm not willing to think that a fellow Democrat would commit a crime against a fellow Democrat. This type of speculation is like the "When did you stop beating your wife" crap.

On edit: I'm embarrassed that this made it to the "greatest page". COme on. Let's see where this goes, first. We need an investigation.

13. I think you're taking a flying leap there. There's no evidence HRC did anything of the kind.
If some evidence comes up, then we'll go from there.

21. What's fucked up is your characterization of Harty as a Hillary "aid" (sic)
She is a career diplomat appointed to her current position in State by George Bush.

pretty interesting timing on this though, coming right on the heels of obama's 'typical white person' comments.

28. and now he's 'linked' to it ?

"The State Department investigation of improper computer access to passport records of three presidential candidates is focusing on one remaining employee — a contract worker with a company headed by an adviser to the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama."

http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080322/NATION/243762495/1001

I'd call this a smear piece though. personally i think all the 'breaches' WERE just simple curiosity on the part of employees for major political figures. one of the stories mentioned similar peeking at the records of hollywood stars. i doubt ANY of the campaigns of any of the candidates would be so ham-handed to do something they knew would be noticed.

29. I agree.
I have just watched about 4 hours of "Ballot Bowl" on CNN, and that and "the endorsement",....oh, and, of course...Bill "McCarthy" Clinton were the stories. Neither the picture of Rev. Wright at the White House, nor "typical white person" were even mentioned.
