Another Clintonista jumps ship
http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/03/another_senior_staff_departure.php

Why, if she's winning, do they keep leaving??

<snip>

Jessica O'Connell, the national director of operations, responsible for personnel management, staff deployment and headquarters operations, has decided to step down. She joins a raft of Patti Solis Doyle loyalists, ranging from wonderkind Adam Parkhomenko to deputy manager Mike Henry, who have departed in recent weeks.

As in, forcing them out. Just a thought, I really have no idea.

But I thought they were all on the same team?

National Operations Director leaving *now*, just b/c of different management styles? I don't think so.

10. Maybe it's because of this
Bill Clinton, continuing his tour of the smaller markets where Hillary has been very strong, describes himself to an Indiana crowd as his wife's "rural hitman."

I've been out of of it for a couple of weeks so don't know too much what's going on. Has it swung back to HRC's favor?

This campaign is SO volatile!

13. Interesting comment on that blog...

As a former Hillary volunteer in WI, I can tell you that workers and volunteers are instructed and encouraged to inundate the blogs and message boards under multiple pseudonyms and pepper them with anti-Obama comments. We were all encouraged to be hit-men. The goal, as they said, is to make it look like 1000?s and 1000?s of people were beginning to have questions or second thoughts about Obama?s credibility and viability. They said the blogs can influence how things are covered in the media. Especially after OH, TX, RI and VT if she won either TX and/or OH. The captains did not specifically say which topics to incite, but it was understood with a wink and a nod that race, experience, trustworthiness, etc. were not off-limits. I can see in the Politico blogs that some Hillary people are following their directions of posting short comments to incite controversy and twist truths. I don?t know that I?ll support Obama, but I definitely have walked out on Hillary. Those people are obsessed with winning at any cost.

19. good catch! the ones here are so transparent they are a joke
... they think that flogging dead horses is somehow going to make people turn to Billary, as though she has anything going for her other than a very Rove-like campaign strategy. They are so ridiculous, they actually dis HRC by inadvertently pointing out even more reasons to detest her.

--such as the drivel about the "Punjab slur," which (because I've been furiously working lately) I'd missed, and consequently checked out, to discover that HRC herself says she could be the "senator from Punjab" (agreeing with an Indian who introduced her at a meeting) because of all the nice ways she's been helping out business interests in India (guess where your job's going to go if "president billary" gets in office???)--and somehow Obama is "slurring" somebody (who?) when he calls billary "Clinton (D-Punjab)" in a memo -- but if they hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have been aware of this further disloyalty on HilBilly's part.

their efforts, like her same-old-same-old Bushite insincere mud-slinging swiftboating campaign strategy, are working seriously against her, but they're too clueless to see that.

especially other people's responses.

The despicable tactics of the Hillary camp, especially their nonsensical & exaggerated accusations of sexism left and right, are what made me give Obama a second look. I liked what I saw and never turned back.

Everything the HRC camp does misfires beautifully.

Thanks for posting that. It's not surprising.

39. I don't think it's unusual for campaigns to do that to some extent
(Or for supporters to take it on themselves.) However, this primary season, I gave up reading comment sections of any blogs - for one thing, the sheer amount of astroturf is too boring to read day in and day out, but also because there is so very much carrying of extremely right wing talking points from site to site that I don't remember happening ever before and it's a real turnoff. That volunteers are encouraged to sockpuppet, hmmm, that is interesting.

25. From the piece:
"O'Connell's resignation should not be interpreted as a sign of chaos in Hillayland. It's just that Williams's management style is very different than Solis Doyle's."

Also, the resignation letter is very positive in regard to Senator Clinton.

But you can spin it anyway you want.

28. That's not what I believe. I think people quit campaigns for a variety of reasons.
I was responding to you and including information from your link that I felt was important and might change the perspective for some people.

I do this because so many people here don't even open the links. They respond in a knee-jerk way to whatever the OP feeds them.

I am trying to encourage some critical thinking, that's all.

By the way, I have gotten the impression that you are NOT one of the people I describe above. You do appear to have intact critical thinking skills.

And BAM the next day his ass is tossed to the curb. Any high ranking official in the HRC camp that is leaving at this EXTREMELY CRITICAL juncture, (for her ever dwindling run at the WH) is doing so with their hair, their pants, and their MOTHERFUCKING ASS on fire!

I'd make book on it if I could!
