Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 09:16 AM by wndycty
. . .talk about the chickens coming home to roost.

How the fuck does Buchanan say Wright is not a Christian and get away with it. This panel in preview of the speech is sickening. They have GOP strategist Joe Watkins on who reveals today that he was an inner city minister. Am I the only one who thought that was strange.

Lastly, they have Rev. Eugene Rivers on, didn't he endorse Hillary?

Another lastly? Where the hell has Eugene Robinson been?

8. his views are representative of a HUGE number of people in the US. You should take heed and listen.
Because that is what BO is up against. And getting past people like Buchanan is what it takes to WIN.

His views represent the Nazi segment of our country
Pat Buchanan has as much right to talk about racial issues as Colonel Sanders does to talk about chicken rights.

BUCHANAN: Are whites going to vote for Obama? How about Hispanics? Are they going to? And like with Mitt Romney, are Mormons -- are you going to vote for a Mormon?

It's time to put all that to rest. And let's just talk about Americans are voting for Americans, and let's see where it flows from there.

BROWN: But there are some divisions there.

And I guess, David, I mean, not only did he address the anger of some blacks, but he embraced some of the resentments that you see in those divisions of whites. Do you think that white voters would be swayed by this?

GERGEN: As -- again, I think white suburban voters are going to find the speech enormously appealing. And -- and they will have a -- we have seen these fiery speeches -- fiery speeches now by the minister.

But, when you look at Barack Obama speaking, you know, there's not a radical bone in his body. And when you recognize that Oprah Winfrey went to that church and attended that church from time to time, you understand that there's a range of people who go there. And Oprah Winfrey is anything but a radical in American society.

So, I think it's going to appeal enormously to suburban voters. I do think he's going to continue to have some problems. And I think this is a wound that's not going to go away quickly...

MARTIN: Sure.

GERGEN: ... among some blue-collar voters and male voters, and I think the conservatives.

And it's -- it's notable, I think it's remarkable, to listen to Bay Buchanan tonight, because if she's -- if there are others like that in the conservative community, he really has made progress there. But there are going to be others who will continue to roast him.

But, you know, one other thing about the speech that I think really stood out, he's one of the rare figures -- figures who speaks to us as adults.

Only a Hillary supporting black preacher has a right to comment on this.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Black voices in the media were silenced during Wright coverage...because they'd stand up for Obama and that's not what the MSM is trying to do.

23. Well, then, he must be forced to say Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell aren't either.
I have no problem labelling ministers who pedal hate not being with the spirit of Jesus's message, but then I would say at least half of all ministers and priests (if not more) would be labelled as non-Christians. Let's play that game, Pat.
