Rochester NY , St. Patty's Day Parade.
Had a decent Obama section. A good couple dozen, carrying banners, a few cars... good to see! No other political factions there.

5. STOP!!! It's 'St. Paddy's Day', not 'St. Patty'
Patty is a girl's name in Ireland. You call an Irish guy Patty, he'd probably punch you in the nose. Every year I have to explain this to my American friends. This would be like me calling a certain ex-President 'Abby Lincoln'. It's *so* annoying for Irish people!

8. You hang with Paddy, me boyo, I'll hang with Patty!
An' sure as the only green I'll be wearin' will be on me teeth, it wouldn't make me drop me green beer even if it were Peppermint Patty from Charles O'Schultz! I just have t' get her good'n drunk so she don't realize it's me she's near, so's she doesn't scream at the site o' me!

9. Thank you for pointing this out.
I'm Irish American and it drives me crazy when people refer to it as Patty's Day. I usually figure that they're Irish wannabes.
