If Hillary had vision, she'd defend her colleague, Sen. Obama from the racist innuendo and insist
that we get back to discussing more pressing issues like healthcare, the war and the economy. I won't hold my breath.

11. I really think she'd do better electorally if she defended him
She has put a lot of people off supporting her with her half-hearted statements. If she had jumped on it from the get-go and said loudly and clearly that such sentiments had no place in her campaign then I think she'd have earned a lot more brownie points with the voters.

27. I would have voted for her in the GE, now no way!
I'm a staunch Obama supporter, until about two months ago, I would have voted for her in the GE if she became the nominee, now there is no way I would vote for her ever. I'd rather see McCain get it. I know I'm cutting off my nose to spite my face, but if people are stupid enough to enable the likes of her, then we all deserve what's coming...

It helps her campaign--and she needs to make Obama as unelectable as possible so she can run in 2012 as the "I told you so" candidate.

6. I agree. She had the opportunity to take the high road, and blew it.
Again. In the past month, Hillary Clinton's campaign has made a lot of serious mistakes. It reflects poorly on her and is one reason I switched to supporting Obama. He's handled his campaign in a way that gives me great confidence in his abilities as Chief Executive of the United States.

I admire Hillary, but I don't like the negative turn her campaign took, and it's actually weakened her strengths.

16. I am not playing faves, in this instance, just pointing out that she
had a chance to steal Obama's "uniter" status by being the one who difuses the racial tension. It would really have pull the party together. I would not be surprised if we soon see a joint statement on this topic by Hillary and Barack.

So far he has been weak. Do you want her people to help his people with the defense?

She already helped him out of the Farrakan thing at the last debate like the good person/Mother she is. Shouldn't he able to take care of himself from now on?

18. The vision that Hillary and every other party professional is seeing right now
is a Republican attack ad juxtaposing a clip of Wright yelling "God damn America" with a clip of Obama from Olberman last night saying "I do not denounce Rev. Wright."

And that's followed by a vision of all of them standing around miserably next January watching President McCain's swearing in.

Your choice right now is between Obama's nomination/McCain's inauguration and a fighting chance with another candidate. If Obama has an ounce of integrity, he'll withdraw for the good of the party.
