WASHINGTON - As President Bush reaches out to his conservative Christian base by supporting a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, a poll released yesterday shows that more than half of the nation's white evangelicals oppose such a measure.

According to the survey, 52 percent would prefer to rely on state laws to prevent gays from marrying rather than altering the U.S. Constitution. In addition, only 48 percent of white evangelicals said a candidate's support for gay marriage would disqualify him from receiving their votes.

The findings, in one of the most comprehensive polls of evangelicals in years, don't rule out the issue of gay marriage as a potent tool to get out the conservative Christian vote for Bush in November.

But they suggest that white evangelicals, a key constituency that overwhelmingly opposes same-sex marriage, are more complex and share more mainstream positions than some political analysts believe.

Understand what we are up against, BOSSHOG. We are up agaist MONSTERS. Oh, they aren't the traditional kind of child molesting or murdering monsters we have become accustomed to on the Nightly Pravda.

They are the kind that staffed the Nazi Death Camps and helped Hitler happily to power. They look like accountants and doctors, policemen, firemen, and local businessmen. They are probably nice people to their families and great fun at BBQs. If not for their being in the thrall of a Totalitarian Dictator, they would probably be perfectly nice to be around.

Eichmann was very charming, they say. And I'll bet if youi wandered into a small Nazi town in 1938, most of life was going on as usual, Oktoberfests, people saying "Guten Taag" to each other on the streets and so forth.

No, waht made those monsters unique and what makes our unique (even though they appear perfectly nice right now, because they haven't been "activated" yet) was their unquestioning obedience to Fuhrer and their total enslavement to Nazi Lies and Propaganda.

You know as well as I that we have the same thing now in our midst, and the entire Bushevik Pravda infrastructure works daily to crush their critical thinking skills and their ability to question immroal "orders".

Sadly, as Goebbels knew then and as Herr Roe knows now, these next statements are as chillingly true now as they were in 1933:
