Ya think Ferarro is just trying to HURT HILLARY now???
First - I'm an Obama supporter.. not a big fan of Clinton. But, after all i've read in the last few days about everything Ferarro is saying.. how she's quick to point out that Clinton didn't ask her to resign, but she did it for both of their interests.. and now she just keeps going on and digging a bigger hole with this story instead of letting it "die"... is it possible she really sort of just wants to damage Hillary with it? (Example.. yet another story headlining CNN: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/ )

I mean - it's really not going to do anything to hurt Obama, but it's possible it could help him. I just wonder.. perhaps Ferarro is thinking, if she couldn't be the first female VP or POTUS - then maybe she'd rather no female did it during her lifetime.

I'm probably completely wrong.. but in the business world where I work - I see women pretending to support each other, only to knife each other in the back as often as possible. "If I can't be the VP of Finance, I sure as hell am not going to allow Sally to get there before me". It's pathetic and sad.. but women just tend to be the biggest roadblock to other women sometimes. The glass ceiling exists.. but so does utter and complete jealousy. I'm a women who's been through it a few times myself.

Thoughts?

2. Nah...Geraldine Ferraro is just a crazy old lady who doesn't know how to shut up.
We all know the type...they have an opinion that they believe, because of their age, is some profound truth and they feel the need to spout it every 15 minutes.

Sometimes crankiness is just crankiness.

3. Perhaps..
but if she's such a loyal Clinton supporter as she claims, you'd think she'd get the hint and shut the hell up by now. At this point in the game, she has to at least realize that even if she "thinks" she's right - a lot of other dems aren't agreeing with her, and she's really only hurting her candidates cause. I don't see a lot of undecideds thinking to themselves.. wow, since Obama is lucky he's black - i'll vote for Hillary.

Just a thought.. but who knows.

4. She Might Just Enjoy The Attention...
If not for this ignorant shit why would anyone want to put a camera on her?

5. well that is obvious!
This is the first time she's been in the spotlight in over 20 years.. like a bad child, some kids just mis-behave to get attention, even if it's the wrong kind of attention.

I still think she's not as "supportive" of Hillary as she wants everyone to think she is. But, some days I sort of think that way about Bill too.. he's not used to playing 2nd fiddle...

6. No, she did exactly what was needed for a certain segment of
the vote in Pennsylvania. The magic words were spoken by a surrogate, they got the message to that part of the base, then Hillary soothes the rest of the base. This is an old trick. It's like push polling. It's reason is to push a negative message about Obama to working class whites. Its really ugly, but effective. It would have been even more effective if Obama would have taken the bait. He didn't so the damage was minimal.

Never take anything at face value.

BTW I haven't declared. It would take all the fun out of watching two masters at work.

7. perhaps that's true..
but at this point i see it damaging Clinton more then helping her. At the very least, you'd think Clinton would ask her to stop talking about it now, and get off the TV Circut for a while... ?

11. Now that Ferraro is not in the campaign, she is free to say anything and
she is under no obligation to listen to or obey Clinton. That could be a problem.

Ferraro's comments hurt Clinton in communities that trend toward Obama. If you are only polling 25% in one segment, offending them is not too damaging.

10. She's definitely only rolling on one of her rockers..
Maybe she doesn't even realize what she's doing?

Heck.. did they even have CNN back in 83/84 when she was running for VP? This is probably the most excitement she's had in 25 years!

9. No one has talked about Geraldine Ferarro in 16 years
I think she is enjoying the attention.

She wasn't this relevant when she was relevant.
