Pat Buchanan is a racist POS
I was just watching the show that ocmes on after keith olbermann, and he told the black woman on there to "shut up and let me talk" while he wanted to continue to make the case (as he always does) this somehow hurts Obama's campaign. I have never seen him say that to anyone. Pat Buchanan should be ashamed of himself! He would not have told a white male to "shut up" I am really saddened to see this. I think it's not a coincidence that he defends Hillary Clinton about every little thing.

Buchanan's father was protestant Scots Irish, mother German catholic. He's not Irish Catholic, a big difference,

My dad's a Prod and and he's proud of it. My mum's a Taig and she's descended from the Spanish Armada!

The Irish Protestants in Northern Ireland are more likely to say they're British though.

18. I think the question is
would he have said it to someone else?

I can't answer it because I don't watch enough of him. But Rachel Maddow specifically said she'd never heard him say that to anyone else, and he definitely said it in a particularly nasty, condescending fashion.

But Pat is a nasty, condescending guy, so maybe he tells fellow guests to shut up all the time.

50. Rachel Maddow called him on it - told him she had been in many heated discussions
with him and had never once heard him tell anyone to shut up and that he was out of line.

I saw that segment. He was condescending and frustrated that this uppity black woman was challenging him on an issue on which he is one of the nation's foremost experts - race.

53. Who called anyone a racist?
Trust me - the immunity/deaf ear has nothing to do with anyone having grown weary of being called a racist. The people are immune and turn a deaf ear to these matters because they don't care - and these are usually the people who continue to tolerate, defend and perpetuate racism in this country.

26. Buchannan was in his usual top form
:eyes:

Seriously - he is one of the granddaddies of the Goldwater-lovers who worshipped Ronald Reagan and has the unique experience of having been born and raised in D.C. He is scum BUT... he is also an isolationalist and protectionist and has actually been dissing Bushler since the man was elected to office. He, along with his cohorts George Will and Peggy Noonan and even Robert Novak, have been lamenting the destruction of the Republican party and it has been a special treat to see them finally wake up and admit to the end of their party. I was actually surprised when he even outright admitted that "75 % of Catholics voted for JFK" in reference to the nonsense being spewed about which demographics are voting for which candidates and their alleged reasons why.

He is boorish but I do know that these types of shows get ratings based on such theatrics for the entertainment value.

and that includes white men who get so carried away with interrupting him that he loses his cool and turns rude on them.

Does it make it right if he told her to shut up? No, it doesn't, but don't go making like she's the only one he ever told to shut up, and don't turn it into some racial issue just because you feel like turning anything and everything into one.
