Aussie feminist Germaine Greer brands Hillary 'cold, bossy'
The latest FREEPER has been exposed (isn't that the label applied to all those that refuse to accept Hillary's coronation?), Germaine Greer!

Aussie feminist Greer brands Hillary 'cold, bossy'

MELBOURNE (AFP) — Outspoken feminist Germaine Greer has rounded on US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, branding her as "cold," "bossy" and "manipulative" while questioning her credentials for the top job.

Australian-born Greer, here to promote her new book, launched into the candidate, saying she was unappealing to feminists as her political reputation was largely due to her marriage to former US president Bill Clinton.

"I don't like Hillary because she's so bossy and cold and manipulative and stuff, and I don't think having her in power is going to make any difference, basically, because she will have the same set of advisers," Greer said.

"I can't see that Hillary would appeal to feminists because, why is she there? She is there because she is Bill's wife, and it's a bit useless to pretend, 'Oh, it's because of her wonderful job as a senator,'" she told Australia's Nine Network late Monday.

"I just don't think it's true. When she had a big job in government, she blew it," said the British-based Greer, referring to Hillary Clinton's work on health issues during her husband's administration.

5. Greer goes back a bit doesn't she?

I guess I could just look it up, but the pundits acted like she was quite a figure in the realm of feminist politics.

7. More on Big Brother star Germaine Greer, and her history of questionable comments:
Greer was one of nine contestants in the 2005 series of Celebrity Big Brother UK. She had previously said that the show was "as civilised as looking through the keyhole in your teenager's bedroom door". She walked out of the show after five days inside the 'Big Brother house', citing the psychological cruelty and bullying of the show's producers, the dirt of the house, and the publicity-seeking behaviour of her fellow contestants. However since then she has appeared on spin-off shows Big Brother's Little Brother and Big Brother's Big Mouth.

In September 2006, Greer's column in The Guardian newspaper about the death of Australian Steve Irwin attracted criticism for what was reported as a "distasteful tirade". Greer said that "The animal world has finally taken its revenge on Irwin".

In August 2007 Greer made comments regarding Princess Diana, calling her a "devious moron", a "desperate woman seeking applause", "disturbingly neurotic" and "guileless".<43>

8. Germaine Greer ...
GERMAINE Greer has launched a scathing attack on the late Princess of Wales, labeling her a "devious moron".

Appearing at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the outspoken Australian academic made her comments ahead of a memorial service on August 31 to mark the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana's death in a Paris car crash.

“I have come to the conclusion that she was a devious moron,” Greer was quoted as saying in The Independent on Sunday.

“One of the things I have been puzzled by is why her whole life was such a mess. She made a mess of being Princess of Wales, but that is fine because the job is not do-able. It is an insane job and, in history, all but one of the Princesses of Wales have come to a sticky end – stickier than hers.

“I am also interested in why she couldn't manage life after being HRH. It still puzzles me that she does that no-no thing: she sleeps with married men ... and this is the angel that people want to crown.”

Interesting comments about GG on the blog, and her predilection for vitriol.

12. OK, let's get a grip here.
Just because someone with name recognition says something bad about "your" opponent (on either side), it does not mean that you should support that persons statements.

Read it, for God's sake! It's hysterically wacked.

And just as stupid and thoughtless as what Geraldine Ferraro said.

These kinds of statements are best ignored, not applauded.

Just my 2 cents, FWIW.

14. Ask Gloria Steinem about good old Germaine. She's never been heralded for her 'feminist' thoughts
because they aren't really very complimentary to women.

17. She doesn't understand the health care issue here in the U.S.
...nor does she know the biography of Hillary (who was always believe to have been the one who should have been President first, but women don't have an opportunity, even now).

18. Obama has lots of Clinton advisors... "Change" is just Axelrod's campaign slogan...
...more of same, but unless the Dem candidate wins and is really first-rate, the Republicans will be back in control midterm.
