One GOOD thing about this long primary season
Is the fact that all states are participating - little, big, red states that probably won't go Democratics in the GE but can actively be in the process. It also helps highlight the individual problems each state is dealing with. From the selling out of the manufacturing base in Ohio, to the continuing devastation of the Gulf Coast, to the environment in Washington, you name it, we get to hear about it, which I think is fantastic.

2. Well, Michigan and Florida voters have rights too.
My leaning right now is an all-mail primary for both (because of cost). And, I think that the mail ballot needs to clearly state that if you voted in a Republican primary or caucus you are not eligible.

I've long believed that we lack cohesion as a country. I think sometimes states stab each other in the back, and work against each other, which doesn't benefit this country. For example, I moved to Washington from Michigan (no jobs, even back then). The people in Washington were perpetually griping about people moving here. Well fine, but they were all driving Japanese cars! Yes, I agree that they are better made at the moment, but they also don't have union workers in some cases, aren't paying retirement benefits, and the car companies receive subsidies and trade protections from their governments that the US auto industry does not (I refer you to Thom Harmann on this subject). But try and tell that to anyone here! They didn't care that Michigan was bleeding auto jobs and its economy was spiraling downwards and that's why people have to move away. OK, I will get off my soapbox, but I do like seeing the campaigning in the 50 states (and American Samoa!)
