2. Public sex in a bathroom where children go.
But for all we know, Spitzer wasn't actually having sex.

Maybe he just liked to get a good spanking?

David Vitter are still on the Senate payroll. I was watching cable when the Spitzer story broke and the whores, who couldn't even recall Craig and Vitter's names, were positively giddy at the thought that at last they had a Dem to kick around.

6. Skirting banking laws to the extent that
it arouses the attention of the IRS and federal prosecutors, is way worse. Especially when you bill yourself as a law and order bulldog. The end. Spitz MUST resign.

7. Why the choice. Spitzer case, by itself, stinks and he should resign.

8.  The toilet with kids or no kids.
The rethugs accept this type of behavior in their people for some unknown reason. The Dems will suffer if the john does not resign but I don't think that he should. The double standard has got to stop. We need to keep repeating all of the rethugs names at any mention of the Dem. Peace, Kim

Having your eyes gouged out or getting your fingernails pulled out?

Honestly, why are people still defending him?

If for nothing else he should resign for being incredibly STUPID.

I've never had sex in a public restroom or with a hooker. How can I make a judgment on which is better or worse? The worst I've ever had was wonderful.

14. Worse in terms of what?
To me, what Spitzer did shows a much deeper, darker flaw in his emotional health, reason, and judgement. As former attorney general he knew full well that he was committing a felony by transporting a prostitute across state lines.

Larry Craig probably knew he was committing a misdemeanor, maybe not.

So do mean worse, morally?

Worse in terms of severity of the crime?

Worse in terms of stupidity and jugement?

16. I think both are the same.
Craig however pleaded guilty then tried to spin it.

Spitzer is now apparently trying to figure out how he can remain governor after knowingly breaking a couple of different laws.

Both breached public trust and broke laws.

17. Millions in the US going to bed hungry, many thousands being
maimed, mutilated, killed an ill begotten war, ethic cleansing in various parts of the world, multitudes living under interstate overpasses and in cardboard boxes - but that's just my thoughts. Sex in a bathroom doesn't seem all that important.

18. It depends on the political affiliation of the perpetrator
It is acceptable Republican behavior, but not for Democrats. Presumably because Democrats hold their politicians to a higher standard.

20. Public sex where children go...
Although when the issue originally came up, a lot of people thought that it was homophobic to care that Craig was picking up (or trying to pick up) guys in a public toilet. The issue isn't with whom he was looking to score but where.
