13. Exactly!
No revotes, do-overs or yielding to rule breakers.

In any scenario NOW, the only FAIR thing is a 50-50 vote split. PERIOD!

5. Wow... you know that old saying...
The one about cutting off your own nose to spite your face? This party is going to need to carry states like Michigan and Florida come November and this isn't helping. What a totally ASININE move on the part of the DNC.

20. Why do people have such a low opinion of Michigan and Florida
dems? Why do you think that they won't vote in November beause of this crap? Do you realize that only a fairly small minority of registered dem voters turn out for primaries?

14. oh BS! MI and FL did this to themselves
Agree to rules, break rules, blame someone else. So quisling, so like HRC and her boy GWB.

Your and their ire should be toward the State Party officials. PERIOD.

17. Doesn't matter what happened last year
what matters is how they're going to fix it. Dean's willing to give up on Michigan and Florida in the general election. That's just stupid and counterproductive.

If this happens, he will go down in history as the worst DNC chair in a long time.

21. Why would you think MI would vote anything but Dem
in the first place? Solid blue state that will stay blue. FL is owned by diebold, but have a better than average chance of taking it. Remeber, the primary voters are but a fraction of the GE voters.

22. If you disenfranchise them
they'll be less likely to vote. That's just common sense. Why take the risk with two large states?

Michigan loses its hotel rooms at the Red Lion

It looks like Michigan delegates will need to start searching for hotel rooms outside of the Denver metro area. Unless the reservations aren't truly released delegates will be hard-pressed to find a hotel with enough rooms anywhere close to downtown.

You can all stay at my house up in Boulder. I've got lots of room and I'm only 25 minutes from the Convention Center. :)
