So, if it's a brokered convention...
Does that mean a Gore/Edwards ticket is possible?

:toast: We can only dream...

2. If it goes to a second ballot....
....the first words you will hear will be " Speaker, I place in nomination the name of Albert Gore to be the next President of the United States." All Hell will break loose at that point.

I don't know if anything will come of that nomination, and I don't know if Gore wants to take the pay cut, but I think (aside from a brief fundraising gap that he'd quickly close) that a Gore/ ticket would trounce McCain.

3. What is the pic that you are using. Is that kennedy and FDR and Truman?
What does it represent? A smoke filled room? I am curious. it is too small for me to really make out!

4. It's Democratic Presidents playing poker
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 02:42 PM by OmahaBlueDog
FRD, Carter, JFK, Clinton, Wilson, LBJ, Truman, and Andrew Jackson

The image is called "True Blues." It's by artist Andy Thomas. He did one for GOP Presidents as well.

6. Though I'd support it, if both Hillary and Obama are not on the ticket in the fall, I think we lose.
I think you would see supressed turnout from Women and Blacks, and that we'd lose pretty easily.
