69% of Democratic voters now support the DREAM TICKET News Week Poll
The nomination is a statistical dead heat.

And the Democratic Party voters say it is time to start talking DREAM TICKET
http://www.newsweek.com/id/119953

Poll Figures
http://www.newsweek.com/id/119957

DREAM TICKET is chance to real bash the NeoConMen

UNITY is what terrifies NeoConMen

You know UNITY makes sense because NeoConMen are Terrified of two little words:

DREAM TICKET

Why do the GOP have nightmares about it?

Why is DREAM TICKET the thousand pound guerrilla sitting among all the breakables in the dainty GOP room?

Why do NeoConMen glance at it and then hold their hands up to blinker their eyes, muttering "Can't see it, Can't see it, Can't see it." hopping that will make it go away?

Because as any loyal Democrat can see, it is not just a single candidate or a mere 4 or 8 years of presidency.

It means a raft of candidates for both presidency, representatives and senate; and time enough in office that they can bring about true change and the dawn of a New Democratic Age for America.

It means Democrats at their convention with the next two winning candidates already lined up and shouting "16 years, Sixteen Years, SIXTEEN YEARS!"

UNITY is not just a win. It is a LANDSLIDE.

Because voters throughout the country are now hungry for change.

They are sick of the Republicans damaging the US economy. They are sick of the Iraq war. They are sick of the American image being dragged through the mud. They sick of rising gas at the pump. They are sick of the dollar in their pocket being worth half of what it was. They are sick of it all. Most of all they are sick of the NeoConMen and their lies and deceit. And they are hungry for change.

If McCain has the GOP nomination over the Conservative Huckabee it just proves voters want a liberal in charge. McCain just means the Democrats have already won the next election he is already behind in the polls against both Democratic Party Candidates and that means voters even former Republicans are hungry for change. Voters hungry for change are not going to go for the half fat liberal McCain. If you want a liberal in charge your going to VOTE THE FULL CREAM and vote Democrat, Obama or Clinton.

BUT frighten a NeoConMan today with just two simple words.

DREAM TICKET

UNITY is a dream

"I have a dream..."
"...one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers..."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr delivered 28 August 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C.

The Dream Ticket is that dream made flesh.

298. It is very Artistic...
Now make one that promotes Democratic Party UNITY

It needs to point out that:
UNITY removes division.
UNITY solves any impasse.
UNITY heals all wounds and hurts of the primary

Then make one that says
UNITY is a Strategy

UNITY is a landslide
UNITY is 16 years.
UNITY is a strategic momentum.
UNITY is Democratic Party House of Representatives
UNITY is Democratic Party Senate
UNITY will bury the NeoConMen.

Now that is a Strategy

Once you have made those two, I will give you 2 more, this is about UNITY

Unity is indevisable so you cannot decide "how much to unite" it is an interesting tactic you are using, straight out of the NeoConMen's handbook called dividing the Democratic party 101...

UNITY is strategy and it beats tactical ego trips hands down every time.

Howard Dean is the Democratic Party strategist. I will take his opinion on Strategy over anyone elses.

And DREAM TICKET is a real strategy and not some tactic of a candidates or their supporters ego.

I want UNITY.
UNITY is the NeoConMen having living Nightmare
UNITY is 16 years
UNITY is a Democratic party landslide
UNITY is Strategic Momentum
UNITY is a Democratic Party House of Representatives landslide
UNITY is a Democratic Party Senate landslide
UNITY is the NeoConMen buried

People's perceptions are what matter in politics. That's how people decide their choices of candidates and policies when voting. Not based on some strategy handed down. It is simply not how Democrats make their decisions, otherwise we would only have one candidate with people going around saying "UNITE, UNITE".

215. The truth is
it's about politics and votes. That's the only reason. It a fucking stalemate; and the only way to break the stalemate is putting the two on same ticket. I don't like it, I am a Clinton supporter. Hillary would be far wiser to chose Wesley Clark. It's a shame that an upstart like Obama is destroying the democratic party. He knows he not ready, it's his ego and his delusional fans that are causing this mess. Obama should leave the democratic party and start his own party, and see how far he would get. Why not, his supporters don't support the party, they support only the man. Obama is not good for the party. He is a divider, not a "uniter" period.

12. Get Obama to make the UNITY speech then
Chris Weigant originaly posted the UNITY speech as an Obama speech but Obama waited too long, check for your self. I would prefer the Strategic winning UNITY speech by both candidates but either will do it.

Below I have rewritten the quick draw competition version of the Chris Weigant speech (follow this link for the original version of the speech)
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-weigant/how-obama-could-wrap-it-u_b_85595.html

I call it the quick draw competition because the Candidate who first makes this speech wins the the unity and undecided voters of the Democratic party and with this middle ground the Democratic nomination for President. They also win the Super Delegates because they are the long term members of the Democratic Party and will vote for the Unity Candidate.

THE TACTICAL WINNING SPEECH

"I would like to address the people in the Democratic Party for a moment.

Our party is now pretty equally divided between myself and Senator (Obama/Clinton). The race is about tied. We are obviously the two strongest candidates this party has to offer to win the White House in 2008. We both have our relative strengths, and much of the electorate is genuinely conflicted over who to select in the voting booth. Some say this is fracturing our party, but I don't believe that is true. The Republican Party is divided because of antipathy among their different factions -- but I'm proud to say that our party is conflicted over who is the best between two very good choices.

So I would like to take this opportunity to offer Senator (Obama/Clinton). the Vice Presidential spot on the Democratic ticket, should I be nominated for President. Should they be nominated, and should they offer the same to me, I am publicly saying I would accept that as well. I think both of us should get behind the idea of a 'dream ticket' right here on this stage. I challenge my opponent to do the same."
Cue Instant pandemonium! Among loud cheers and a few groans from supporters of the candidate that did not make the speech.

This version of the speech leaves the contest open but runs it without internecine war and unites the whole Democratic Party. I wonder if Pelossi, Howard Dean, Chris Redfern, George Stephanopoulos and the growing number of other Democrats are mediating how the deal can be done? A joint non aggression pact of not putting out tactical version of the Chris Weigant speech instead to put out this strategic version of the speech.

THE STRATEGIC WINNING SPEECH
"We would like instead to address the people in the Democratic Party for a moment.

The choice is there for the candidates to take.

That it will be a Democrat who is next President of the USA there is no doubt.

But it has become a quick draw competition, to see which one says the magic two words first:

23. No way.
The problem for Obama with that arrangement is that she would constantly be trying to usurp his power. She would have her own base, advisers from Bill's administration working for her; she's extremely secretive and would probably keep information from him and feel little loyalty to him. It could be a huge potential disaster in the Constitutional sense, with the VP constantly trying to overrule the President and using the resources of the government to achieve her political and personal ambitions, to the embarrassment of the president (look at Filegate for example, her fingerprints were all over that)

It could turn out to be a real nightmare for him.

The number 1 quality in a VP is loyalty. And by the way she's run this race she has no loyalty to party, only to herself.

230. UNITY is what wins. UNITY is a landslide. UNITY is 16 years!
UNITY is the real strategy

So far only one candidate has said the Dream Ticket is on the cards.

Clinton has been saying it is the way to go and recognises that the voters want it.
Obama needs to start talking UNITY or he will loose.

UNITY is about both candidates and their supporters, uniting behind both candidates and the Democratic Party to pursue a strategic victory of 16 years in power; in the Presidency, Senate and Congress.

Below I have rewritten the quick draw competition version of the Chris Weigant speech (follow this link for the original version of the speech)

The choice is there for the candidates to take.

That it will be a Democrat who is next President of the USA there is no doubt.

But it has become a quick draw competition, to see which one says the magic two words first:

DREAM TICKET

And Clinton's finger is a hairs breadth from the trigger,

Because the polarize-able supporters are decided and wedded to their camp. Obama-ite or Clinton-ite. Those will stay with their candidate. The people the contest is now being fought over are the vast majority of unity Democrats. They sway one then they sway the other. What sways them most is punishing those who attack Democrats. Voters showed in New Hampshire and Michigan what can happen to a candidate or camp who is not out to unite. They also punished Obama in Texas and Ohio for assuming he was more important than the party.

Howard Dean has said he does not want to be at the Democratic convention mediating the candidate. The Super Delegates will ignore all the fake democrats the GOP sent to game the Democratic Party nomination in Red States and they will vote their conscience and vote for the Democratic Party Unity Candidate whom so ever that may be.

The first Candidate to say they will take Democratic party down the unity road to the DREAM TICKET will win all those voters in the middle.

Because; what true democrat, would be satisfied with just Four or Eight years of Democrat Rule?

That is the reason NeoConMen are Terrified of two little words:

DREAM TICKET

Why do the GOP have nightmares about it?

Why is DREAM TICKET the thousand pound guerrilla sitting among all the breakables in the dainty GOP room?

Why do NeoConMen glance at it and then hold their hands up to blinker their eyes, muttering "Can't see it, Can't see it, Can't see it." hopping that will make it go away?

Because as any loyal Democrat can see, it is not just a single candidate or a mere 4 or 8 years of presidency.

It means a raft of candidates for both presidency, congress and senate; and time enough in office that they can bring about true change and the dawn of a New Democratic Age for America.

It means Democrats at their convention with the next two winning candidates already lined up and shouting "16 years, Sixteen Years, SIXTEEN YEARS!"

DREAM TICKET!

Because that would not be just a tactical victory of a four to eight year presidency. That would be the STRATEGIC victory of a Democratic Age. That is why "Obama-Clinton or a Clinton-Obama ticket." is the Ticket that gives the NeoConMen nightmares. And the first Candidate to articulate that they will move the Democratic party to the DREAM TICKET will win that candidacy.

No If Buts or Maybes THE CANDIDATE WHO SAYS IT WILL BE the Democrat Candidate and the next President of the United States of America.

64. No, that says that 90% of Obama supporters on DU
do not support this ticket. I hope you understand that DU is a fringe organization that does not represent reality. It represents the most radical .001 percent of the democratic party. If even THAT much. All polls have proven you wrong. That would be like my taking a poll in my own house hold, asking how cool the Bryant family was on a scale of 1 to 10. It would be horribly biased.

Here are some MORE polls that shoot down your skewed, biased, unscientific poll from DU.

These are from CNN's OWN exit polls last Tuesday!

Ohio
73% of democrats would be satisfied with Clinton as the nominee
66% of democrats would be satisfied if Obama is the nominee

Texas
71% of democrats would be satisfied with Clinton as the nominee
65% of democrats would be satisfied with Obama as the nominee

Rhode Island
75% of democrats would be satisfied with Clinton as the nominee
63% of democrats would be satisfied with Obama as the nominee

and now… in Vermont… which is extremely hostile territory for Clinton and very pro-Obama…

Vermont
70% of democrats would be satisfied with Clinton as the nominee
82% of democrats would be satisfied with Obama as the nominee

These numbers, as well as every other poll taken on the subject PROVE you wrong. There is no wiggle room. DU is an echo chamber that serves as a place for the most radical to express their points of view because we need a place like this... since society does not accept or agree with us. I admit that I am a HARDCORE democrat and do not represent the real world, however these polls DO represent the real world. The mere IDEA that you would use a poll taken on DU to demonstrate anything what-so-ever shows a great intellectual failing.

what shows a great intellectual failing is you underestimating the Obama supporters. I suggested that the bulk of Obama supporters would not find this an appropriate solution.

The truth is I am so passionate about this candidate, as are many, and the clintons have done such a smear job on him that many of use do not feel like it would be a good thing.

Sorry my friend, Obama has brought so many new voters into the process that I think many of the supporters would have a hard time with this.

You should keep checking the poll numbers though, they also showed HRC would win Iowa and lose NH.

78. So why then are so many Obama supporters liars?
Your argument simply does not hold up. If you are not able to see DU for what it is, and realize that it does not represent the real world... rational discussion is lost on you. It's like trying to to explain religious understanding to a fanatical baptist. Once people are 100% convinced that they are right and no amount of evidence can persuade them otherwise all is lost in any conversation. There is no point. You can't change the mind of religion, and you can't change the mind of fanatical supporters who do not believe in things like "statistics" "polls" and "reality".

From the webster dictionary... Faith is: the "firm belief in something for which there is no proof"

Having blind faith has never helped society.

It is similar to people who are against evolution and point out places where science may have been off in the past as proof that science is not correct now.

To claim that 90% of Obama supporters would not favor a Obama/Clinton ticket because all of your friends on DU (an anecdotal fallacy) feel that way, and then claim that all the scientific evidence that proves you wrong is not true because scientist have been off a little about things in the past... that looks disturbing to any outsider. You should understand this. I do not believe that Obama's supporters follow a cult because I like Obama. But I do think that some people on DU live in an ethnocentric environment where they are unable to comprehend a place where people do not feel as they do.

Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 11:01 PM by Ian_walker
I have made this clear on numerous occasions.

You also seem to assume that only Clinton the only UNITY candidate. A question I myself posed in another thread.

Obama needs to start thinking about answering the question.

I think your assessment of Obama is 100% wrong. The post you made makes me question if you are a true Obama supporter.

Obama is politically savvy enough to realise you can only succeed the Democratic Party if you are for UNITY.

I will say it again:

Either or BOTH candidates can make the UNITY speech.

The UNITY speech is what will decide the nomination.

It is a quick draw competition and Clinton's finger is a hair's breadth from the trigger.

216. Kind of average in climbing.
I speak to other climbers. It seems to be a common experience. I have to say though with the exception of 8000m peaks most of the cases were kind of peripheral to the climbing.

The first friend died while waiting to climb he was sat on a large rock plinth above the sea when a freak wave came and swept him away, his body was never recovered.
The second was an 8000m climber he was never found. So we do not know what happened.
The third died when she was soling a simple access route, she was a top competition climber. I like her had soloed that route many times.
The fourth was an Alpine climber a bolt used for abseil sheered.
The fifth was lost on a Peruvian mountain I believe his body was finally recovered. Though I still do not know exactly what happened. Peruvian mountains are similar in nature to the 8000m peaks of the Himalayas
The sixth was frozen to death in Scotland after leaving the shelter of his snow hole.
The seventh was a solo accident but proper climbing on hard route.
The eighth was someone killed by a falling rock while climbing.
The ninth was someone killed by a falling rock while he was walking along the bottom of the cliff
The tenth died of high altitude pulmonary edema on an 8000m peak with people round him.

Anything above 7500m is the death zone. All the time you are there you are dieing. 8000m climbing is very dangerous about 10 times more that rock climbing. I know hundreds of rock climbers but only about 10 or so 8000m climbers.

Soloing is climbing without a rope I do it rarely but do on occasions do it.

So far I have been lucky. One serious ground fall that bruised my feet so bad I had to crawl down the mountain through brambles and nettles (European equivalent of poison oak has minute little crystal splinters full of Oxalic acid covering it). I am very old school when it comes falling and avoid it at all costs. One near miss with rock fall the size of old fashioned TV. Several bruises from smaller shingle type hits. A partial ungloved wrist Yuk while jamming on gritstone in Yorkshire in the UK; totally healed hardly any scar. A pinged A4 pulley, the loop that hold your finger tendons in a bit like the loops in a fishing rod. Squirted all the synovial fluid out of my left middle finger so it creaks a lot will not straighten and will have arthritis more as I get older. A right shoulder with a tendency to dislocate, hurts real bad when it does.

I still love climbing though.

There is a book by Joe Simpson called "This game of Ghosts" I recommend it as a good read but it also explains our attitude as climbers and how we feel about what happens.

It's not a statistical dead heat. Do you understand how statistics work?

Pledged delegate total is 15% higher than HRCs

Obama: 1199
HRC: 1041

She has 41 more super delegates than Obama but no way in hell are the supers going to overturn the pledged delegates.

Go here: http://www.slate.com/features/delegatecounter/

now plug in todays results in WY 61 for obama 39% for HRC, now give HRC 60% of EVERY contest remaining and she STILL cant catch up with him in pledged.

He wants unity within the dem party, however it's not my idea of unity to circulate photos of a candidate in a turban to promote hate and fear and I would imagine it's not his either which is why he hasnt said ONE POSITIVE THING ABOUT THE NIGHTMARE TICKET.

HRC is OUT, face it, and many dems are glad.

The Dream Ticket is what give NeoConMen Nightmares.

Obama will never say he is against unity much as the NeoConMen would like him too. That is political suicide Obama ain't that dumb.

You might say it, but he will not. It makes me seriously question if you are a true Obama supporter but I have parsed your replies and even you dare not say it.

Because you realise that at the end of the process ALL Democratic Party supporters will get behind the Democratic Party Nomination for President.

Always keep it positive :-)

UNITY is what will win.
UNITY is what the NeoConMen fear
UNITY is the Gift that keeps giving...NeoConMen Nightmares
UNITY is 16 years of power
UNITY is a landslide
UNITY is a Democratic Party House of Representatives
UNITY is a Democratic Party Senate
UNITY is the NeoConMen buried

That is a really positive strategy.

223. UNITY is the winning strategy
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 01:45 PM by Ian_walker
So far the Democratic Party nomination is a Statistical Dead Heat.

The Facts
In terms of Delegates
Without Florida and Michigan Either candidate need 2,024 out of 4,047
Neither candidate is any where near that.
Obama has 1,387 or 52%
Clinton has 1,229½ or 47%
Edwards (suspended not withdrawn) has 26 or 1%

Do the math
1,387 + 1,229 = 2,616 total Delegate Votes decided (we will ignore the half vote for now)
4,047 - 2,616 = 1,431 Delegate Votes still to be declared.
Now some of that is promised votes from super Delegates but there are still some 600 outstanding Delegate votes and about 300 Super Delegate votes to be decided.

Without Florida and Michigan Either candidate need 2,024 out of 4,047
If Florida's and Michigan's delegates are counted, the requirement is 2,207½ votes out of 4,414 (now we had better see where that half vote went)

Oh and Clinton is ahead in the popular vote by about 32,000 ballots.

1,431 Delegate Votes still to be declared Now you can try to Fox news that in Floria that any way you want.

Me I will let the Democratic Party decide.

I will be happy with either of them as President.

It is a Dead Heat
So much so that Howard Dean has said on ABC television "If we have to sit the two candidates down together or their campaigns down together and try to figure out how to make peace and have a convention that's going to work, then that's fine,"

Howard Dean is the Democratic Party strategist. I will take his opinion on Strategy as being considerably more important than yours.

And DREAM TICKET is a real strategy and not some candidates or their supporters ego.

But
I want UNITY.
I want the NeoConMen to have living Nightmare
I want 16 years
I want a Democratic party landslide
I want Strategic Momentum
I want a Democratic Party House of Representatives landslide
I want a Democratic Party Senate landslide
I want the NeoConMen buried
I want UNITY
I want the DREAM TICKET

Now that is a strategy.
What was that tactic you were on about?

20. Then THINK STRATEGICALLY for a second....

Neither one does anything for the other in the GE against McCain.

BOTH of them need to boost their Foreign Policy creds to go against McCain.

Both Illinois and New York will be BLUE no matter which one is the nominee.

The VP has to be a STRATEGIC choice that will balance the ticket and ATTRACT INDEPENDENTS. It doesn't matter what the Dems want... whether it was 69% or 100%. Both Barack and Hillary would get 90% of the Dem votes.

The only way to win in November is to beat McCain among Independents.... and so you need someone who appeals to them and eases their fears about Hillary and Barack's lack of FP experience.

You're thinking with your heart, and not with your head.

If you want to win.... we need to get over the idea that either one of them is good for the other's ticket. They simply aren't.

33. UNITY is what wins. UNITY is a landslide. UNITY is 16 years!
That is real strategic thinking you are talking tactics. Strategy is thinking long term. Like howard Dean does.

Your argument is minor level tactical one. And good stategy allows good tactic.
Consider:
McCain is Half-Fat-Liberal who is compromised both ways by his kow towing to Bush.
That is the reason NeoConMen are Terrified of two little words: DREAM TICKET

Why do the GOP have nightmares about it?Why is DREAM TICKET the thousand pound guerrilla sitting among all the breakables in the dainty GOP room?

DREAM TICKET!

DREAM TICKET is a land slide. UNITY is 16 years! UNITY is the end the NeoConMen!

Now that is STRATEGY!

the vast majority of the 31 % WILL, they would just rather another candidate like Richardson, or Dodd for VP. However, NO OTHER CANDIDATE OPTION FOR VP gets 69 % of the vote. You have to be able to see this, no matter what your personal opinion is, correct?

50. I disagree, strongly.
A combined ticket prolongs the problem and that problem is the Bush-Clinton stranglehold on government that is punctuated with secrecy and crony corporatism.

Obama is sufficiently ahead in delegates that it is statistically improbable that she could get anywhere in the ballpark of catching up.

Her vile campaign tactics preclude a combination ticket which, in the opinion of many Democrats, would be a nightmare.

129. NeoConMen might dream that. I prefer to give them Nightmares

UNITY is not just a win. It is a LANDSLIDE. It means a raft of victories for both Presidency, Representatives and Senate; and time enough in office that they can bring about true change and the dawn of a New Democratic Age for America. It means Democrats at their convention with the next two winning candidates already lined up and shouting "16 years, Sixteen Years, SIXTEEN YEARS!"

If you want a Democratic Party in charge your going to VOTE THE FULL CREAM and vote Democratic candidate be they Obama or Clinton.

BUT frighten a NeoConMan today with just two simple words.

DREAM TICKET

I have said this many times:
Either or BOTH candidates can make the UNITY speech.

I think the Dream Ticket offers an unprecedented opportunity to lock the NeoConMen out of power for 16 years. Not only that but it means a landslide with enough momentum to lock up the Representatives and Senate too. It means time for Democratic Party policies to bed in . It means a New Democratic Age.

That is a strategy. All else is mere tactics.

The Democratic Party Nomination will be decided by Democratic Party voters and Delegates.

The Super Delegates will take into account the gaming of the Democratic Party primaries. The Super Delegates will vote for the candidate who best offers UNITY. The Super Delegates will vote for the candidate who promises the biggest strategic victory.

...they can do more good in the Senate than as a VP attending funerals and fund-raisers.

The ticket needs to be BALANCED.... Neither Hillary nor Barack has great foreign policy creds, and they agree on 95% of the issues.... and neither of them are from a state that the GOP has a chance in.

No matter who the nominee is... they need someone with THESE qualities

1. Foreign policy experience
2. From a "purple" state.

Jim Webb - VA

Bill Richardson - NM

The VP *HAS* to be able to help in a normally-red state... or at least a swing state.

You're not thinking logically for November, Ian.... neither Hillary nor Barack is served very well by having the other as their VP choice.

Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 04:41 PM by fujiyama
I don't trust her and agree that loyalty is important. Still, I suppose she'd be better than Evan Bayh or Vilsack and some of her supporters feel she's entitled to be president, so it brings some unity to the table. But she also turns off a lot of independents and that would still mobilize RWers.

For Obama, being VP would be a great step to being president in 8 years. He's still young and it would be the kind of "experience" he needs. But then again would there be a mutual trust there? Everyone knows what happened to Al Gore under Clinton. At times, Bill sidelined Gore for Hillary's advice. Hillary might do the same - but for Bill's advice rather than Obama's.

At this point, I'll vote for Hillary (if she's the nominee) based on who she picks for VP. A Vilsack, or Bayh is pretty much a deal breaker. I couldn't care any less between a Hillary/Bayh/Vilsack and a McCain/Other lunatic choice.

Until then, they can sell more magazines by concentrating on the economy and how Bush lead us down the rosy path to hell, while Newsweek stood by and applauded his every move for 6 years!

91. Either or Both Candidates can make the UNITY speech and be the UNITY candidate
The Democratic Party voters have made it clear what they want.

The Super Delegates will choose the UNITY candidate because that is Democratic Party voters want and because it is the purpose of the Super Delegates to vote their conscience and prevent actions like the NeoConMen's obvious and admited gaming of the Democratic Party primaries. The Super Delegates will also vote in the strategic interest of the Democratic party. So they will vote for the UNITY candidate.

It is a quick draw competition and Clinton is going for the gun

I will now parse each sentense to make it easier for you to understand

Both candidates realise it is the Democratic party voters and Delegates that decide who will win.

I do not think you can misunderstand this sentense. If you do not understand please explain why.

NeoConMen not liking what the Democratic Party voters and Delegates want is an absolute given.

I made a spelling error and missed a word. When you are making this many replies to such a popular topic the occasional error is inevitable. I of course apologise.
NeoConMen= Neoconservative Men. Points out they are predominatly men. The concept places them among conmen(flim flamers). In esence NeoConMen turns their name against them. It is a simple shorthand like Freeper or Repukes and other such. This is in the same vein.

It was in reply to this that you wrote:
Unity of this sort would be spun by the repukes into a laughing stock and very hypocritical of both candidates. We can have a landslide, winning ticket and 16 years without these two arch enemies joining up.

You are trying to make out that the candidates are against each other. I was pointing out that this is a very common NeoCon ploy that has been remarked on by many others in this forum.

The plane fact is the Democratic party candidates are not divided and no amout of NeoConMen wish they were will make it so.

I can only think of two reason why you say you cannot see that...
It is sometimes better to remain silent on what you think may be another's motives.

You give yourself far too much credit by suggesting that your mindlessly repetitive UNITY posts are going to have any effect after "being seen by more people".

Obama has not spoken in favor of your nightmare ticket, nor does he have any reason to. After he wraps up the nomination, he will pick a running mate, hopefully somebody like Bill Richardson or Joe Biden. There is no consolation prize for second place in presidential politics.

144. If I could prove to you that Karl Rove wants Obama and Hillary divided would that convince you?
I have been posting here since last year that the entire RNC/Rove/MSM strategy is all designed to achieve one purpose--keep Obama and Hillary and their supporters at each others throats by using the 1972 tactics designed by Pat Buchanan for CREEP and Dick Nixon which were used to interfere in the 1972 Democratic primary to turn it into a facsimile of the 1968 Chicago Dem disaster.

Go back to my journals and review them. If anyone is really interested, I will find the links myself and post them. I document the overall strategies. I have watched election night coverage and showed how networks like MSNBC are playing the game. I have analyzed the MSM propaganda. In my latest series "The Press v. Hillary Clinton" (up to three parts so far) I talk about this.

It is as clear as day what Rove is doing. It was clear last fall and it is even more clear now. Nora O'Donnell actually had a scroll saying "Convention in Chaos" and a guest speculating that the Denver convention could be just as bad as Chicago 1968---then she reminded Wisconsin voters that they could go to the polls and register right there and get a ballot with both Democrats and Republicans names on it and that Hillary was doing better than any one had thought she would (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). It was absolutely appalling.

If Hillary and Obama are on the same ticket, the woman and African-Americans, two key parts of the Democratic base will turn out in droves. Look at how many are turning out now to vote for one or the other. No one is going to stay home because the other candidate is on the ticket. Hillary's supporters like Obama and vice versa.

The RNC is trying hard to change that. They are using their same old Divide and Conquer strategy that they have used to keep wages down and workers unorganized and the masses oppressed for years.

Do not be fooled.

Solidarity!

That Rove Trolls come into this forum is certain and they have puppets who they feed their views to. Division and Hate is what the live for

Best thing to do is give them Nightmares.

Just try it!
It will give you a warm fuzy glow inside :) :
Reccomend threads that give NeoConMen Nightmares. It will give you a warm fuzy glow inside :)
Make Posts in threads where you see their activity that give NeoConMen Nightmares. It will give you a warm fuzy glow inside :)
Post comments that will give NeoConMen Nightmares. It will give you a warm fuzy glow inside :)

Also post it on Right wing media and open forums.

Things like this cause them to panic and get depressed. You will be suprised how fast they start to leave. Here is an example:

I love giving Nightmares to NeoConMen

DREAM TICKET you know it makes sense!

UNITY the gift that just keeps giving... NeoConMen Nightmares
DREAM TICKET another gift that just keeps giving... NeoConMen Nightmares

Terrify a NeoConMan today. While Drinking coffee in the Mall say to your Friend DREAM TICKET. Even if you whisper it a NeoConMen will hear it clear across the other side of the Mall. Try it really works.

And I do love giving NeoConMen Nightmares.

DREAM TICKET what all NeoConMen Hate.

The NeoConMen hate Obama
The NeoConMen hate Clinton
The NeoConMen hate Kerry
The NeoConMen hate Bill Clinton
The NeoConMen hate Gore
The NeoConMen hate JFK
The NeoConMen hate Carter
The NeoConMen even hate their very own McCain
The NeoConMen hate every single Democratic Party candidate they always have and always will.

HATE is all they do.

They account for less than 30% of voters and declining. They have some loud mouthpieces like Fox and Talk Radio and the rest of the NeoConMen's media.

Their time is ended.

All they have left is Hate.

UNITY trumps hate every time.

That is what the United States of America is based on.

And America is sick of them and their hate. They are sick of the NeoConMen damaging the US economy. They are sick of the Iraq war. They are sick of the American image being dragged through the mud. They sick of the NeoConMen raping our planet. The sick of the NeoConMen's Tax Debt. They sick of rising gas at the pump. They are sick of the dollar in their pocket being worth half of what it was. They are sick of it all. Most of all they are sick of the NeoConMen and their lies and deceit. And they are hungry for change.

UNITY is what will win.
UNITY is what the NeoConMen fear
UNITY is the Gift that keeps giving...NeoConMen Nightmares
UNITY is a landslide
UNITY is Strategic Momentum
UNITY is 16 years of power
UNITY is a Democratic Party House of Representatives
UNITY is a Democratic Party Senate

Yes I did

In fact I read it some time ago.

I was using the opportunity to kick the thread and to put forward the concept of giving the NeoConMen nightmares. As well as giving any of them still present Nightmares.

Subject lines make good headlines. NeoConMen are particularly susceptible too them that is their own Rhetorical style from Fox news. That is how they digest information.

Do not take anything in any thread as personal friend it is just Text.

Now the ideas they are powerful and cannot be ignored.

150. There's no such thing as a 'statictical dead heat' in politics.
This isn't the NFL playoffs.

Obama leads in: delegates, in vote, in states won, in fundraising. He can only lose the nomination through Hillary's deus ex machina superdelegate strategy (and he won't). Hillary brings nothing to the ticket; her negatives would hurt down-ticket races, her presence on the ticket, even in the VP slot, would energise right-wingers who would otherwise be disaffected and not much interested in voting for McCain.

No thanks.

69% of Democratic Party voters want the Dream Ticket.

The Super Delegates will vote their conscience. The Super Delegates will vote for party UNITY. The Super Delegates will take into account that the NeoConMen have been gaming the Democratic Party Primaries and have even admitted the same. The Super Delegates will vote in the best long term strategic interest of the Democratic Party. The candidate that offers Party UNITY will win the Super Delegates vote.

Either or BOTH candidates can make the UNITY speech.

In Ohio and Texas? They voted for Hillary.

She has no argument for being at the top of the ticket; she has no argument for even being on the ticket. She can make the 'unity speech' if she wants; it's a clear desperation ploy. And Hillary is electoral POISON in a general election vs McCain; this is an inconvenient fact you don't seem to want to admit.

As I said 69% of Democratic Party voters want the Dream Ticket a candidate will ignore them at their peril.

Are you saying Obama is against UNITY? Because his reply will be different to yours.

I made it clear that the Super Delegates will vote their conscience. The Super Delegates will take into account that the NeoConMen have been gaming the Democratic Party Primaries and have even admitted the same, I made that clear too. The Super Delegates will vote for party UNITY above all else. The candidate that offers Party UNITY will win the Super Delegates vote that is obvious; and if a candidate and his campaign set out disunite the party they can say goodbye to the Super Delegates vote for they will punish them. The Super Delegates will vote in the best long term strategic interest of the Democratic Party.

UNITY is the winning strategy now for either candidate.

Either or BOTH candidates can make the UNITY speech.

The right wing HATE Hillary. With an intense and burning passion. Her LOWEST negative ratings are in the neighbourhood of 45% nationally. Her presence on any Democratic ticket would guarantee no landslide, fewer Democratic Senators and Representatives. The depth of loathing the right wing have for her can't be understated; they aren't enthusiastic about McCain, but the chance to vote AGAINST Hillary would see them turning out for him.

Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 02:03 AM by Ian_walker
I am not bothered which one is top of the ticket.

I do like giving NeoConMen Nightmares though.

DREAM TICKET what all NeoConMen Hate.

The NeoConMen hate Obama
The NeoConMen hate Clinton
The NeoConMen hate Kerry
The NeoConMen hate Bill Clinton
The NeoConMen hate Gore
The NeoConMen hate JFK
The NeoConMen hate Carter
The NeoConMen even hate their very own McCain
The NeoConMen hate every single Democratic Party candidate they always have and always will.

HATE is all they do.

They account for less than 30% of voters and declining. They have some loud mouthpieces like Fox and Talk Radio and the rest of the NeoConMen's media.

Their time is ended.

All they have left is Hate.

UNITY trumps hate every time

That is what the United States of America is based on.

And America is sick of them.

UNITY is the NeoConMen buried
UNITY will beat hate!

Hillary Clinton is not a representative of unity. She never has been.
It is her time that is over.

It is rather amusing watching all you Hillarites running about screaming about unity and Dream Tickets.
Negotiating is one of the final stages of loss.

192. He needs to continue fighting for the nomination
He should not let his guard down, as Howard Wolfson would likely bash him over his gracious head.

I think it wildly unreasonable to be demanding that Obama needs to be talking "UNITY" given what Sen. Clinton and her campaign have been doing and saying for the last two weeks. Once Hillary concedes the victory and the top-of-the-ticket to Obama, *then* Obama can start active discussions with Democratic leaders on how best to re-unify the party behind him.

195. Here from a previous post what Obama can do.
Below I have rewritten the quick draw competition version of the Chris Weigant speech (follow this link for the original version of the speech)
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-weigant/how-obama-could-wrap-it-u_b_85595.html

I would prefer that BOTH candidates make the THE STRATEGIC WINNING SPEECH but I will be happy with either

THE TACTICAL WINNING SPEECH
I call it the quick draw competition because the Candidate who first makes this speech wins the the unity and undecided voters of the Democratic party and with this middle ground the Democratic nomination for President. They also win the Super Delegates because they are the long term members of the Democratic Party and will vote for the Unity Candidate.

Speech 1

---

THE STRATEGIC WINNING SPEECH
This version of the speech leaves the contest open but runs it without internecine war and unites the whole Democratic Party. I wonder if Pelossi, Howard Dean, Chris Redfern, George Stephanopoulos and the growing number of other Democrats are mediating how the deal can be done? A joint non aggression pact of not putting out tactical version of the Chris Weigant speech instead to put out this strategic version of the speech.

Speech 2
"We would like instead to address the people in the Democratic Party for a moment.

Our party is now pretty equally divided between ourselves. The race is about tied. We are obviously the two strongest candidates this party has to offer to win the White House in 2008. We both have our relative strengths, and much of the electorate is genuinely conflicted over who to select in the voting booth. Some say this is fracturing our party, but we don't believe that is true. The Republican Party is divided because of antipathy among their different factions -- but we are proud to say that our party is conflicted over who is the best between two very good choices.

So we would like to take this opportunity to offer each other the Vice Presidential spot on the Democratic ticket, should we be nominated by the party for President. Should the other be nominated, we are publicly saying we would accept that as well. We think both of us should get behind the idea of a 'dream ticket' right here on this stage. We challenge our party to do the same."
Cue very long standing ovation

The choice is there for the candidates to take.

But it has become a quick draw competition, to see which one says speech first:

197. But only one side needs to back off the "internecine warfare"
It is inarguable that Obama's campaign has been hardly negative toward Clinton in the fashion that the Clinton campaign has towards Obama. This campaign could go on for months, and I'd love it, if Clinton weren't distorting Obama's record and promoting the Republican candidate over a Democratic candidate.

Hillary has jumped the snark in promoting McCain. Obama is not the candidate that needs to make an offer of peace.

211. UNITY is what wins. UNITY is a landslide. UNITY is 16 years!
DREAM TICKET is chance to realy bash the NeoConMen

UNITY is what terrifies NeoConMen

You know UNITY makes sense because NeoConMen are Terrified of two little words:

DREAM TICKET

Why do the GOP have nightmares about it?

Why is DREAM TICKET the thousand pound gorrila sitting among all the breakables in the dainty GOP room?

Voters hungry for change are not going to go for the half-fat-liberal McCain. If you want a liberal in charge your going to VOTE THE FULL CREAM and vote Democrat, Obama or Clinton.

BUT frighten a NeoConMan today with just two simple words.

DREAM TICKET!

224. No clear lead it is a statistical dead heat
Sorry to burst you bubble but

I will be happy with either of them as President but what I want is both as President. I want 16 years.

I want the NeoConMen to have a living Nightmare
I want 16 years
I want a Democratic party landslide
I want Strategic Momentum
I want a Democratic Party House of Representatives landslide
I want a Democratic Party Senate landslide
I want the NeoConMen buried
I want UNITY
I want the DREAM TICKET

Now that is a strategy.
What was that tactic you were on about?

253. What exactly is the "dream ticket?" It can't possibly be
Obama/Clinton - she'd drag him down with her.

258. Either or Both Candidates can make the UNITY speech and be the UNITY candidate
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 05:31 PM by Ian_walker
You just have to sh*t and get off the potty.

Obama will not win the nomination if he is not able to take the whole party him.

He has to start talking UNITY because the clock is ticking.

So far only one candidate has said the Dream Ticket is on the cards.

Clinton has twice said she is considering it and recognises that the voters want it.

As you can see it was originaly written for Obama
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-weigant/how-obama-could-wrap-it-u_b_85595.html

Speech 1

That it will be a Democrat who is next President of the USA there is no doubt.

But it has become a quick draw competition, to see which one says the magic two words first:

DREAM TICKET

And Clinton is going for the gun...

Democratic Party voters also punished Obama in Texas and Ohio for assuming he was more important than the party. Democratic Party voters want UNITY.

The first Candidate to say they will take Democratic party down the unity road to the DREAM TICKET will win all those voters in the middle and the Super Delegates too because what the Democratic Party wants is UNITY.

Because; what true Democratic Party supporter, would be satisfied with just Four or Eight years of Democrat Rule?

No If Buts or Maybes THE CANDIDATE WHO SAYS IT WILL BE the Democrat Candidate and the next President of th United States of America.

260. Lie. The nomination is not a statistical dead heat.
Because it isn't decided by poll.

It will be decided by:

1) who wins the most pledged delegates
2) who wins the popular vote
3) who wins the most states
4) who has the most money

In that order.

Right now one candidate has all of those things and the other candidate has her fake "experience" while losing in every category.

264. I leave calling a contest before its done to Fox news in Florida
Sorry to burst you bubble but

I will be happy with either of them as President but what I want is both as President. I want 16 years.

I want the NeoConMen to have a living Nightmare
I want 16 years
I want a Democratic party landslide
I want Strategic Momentum
I want a Democratic Party House of Representatives landslide
I want a Democratic Party Senate landslide
I want the NeoConMen buried
I want UNITY
I want the DREAM TICKET

Now that is a strategy.
What was that tactic you were on about?

278. Go Ian! Too many bitter partisans in both camps.
They need to take a step back from their respective kool-aids, go outside and get some fresh air. Take a break and reflect on what's really important -- why we are having a primary in the first place: we need to beat the living shit out of McCain and send the neocons back whimpering to their dark, smelly little holes that they crawled out of.

O/C or C/O. It's coming, it's coming.

Check the top pinned post in this section of the forum. Their time is limited. And every day it is a dead heat the Dream Ticket Solution becomes more of a certainty.

UNITY is the only option.

Surpringly the Rove Trolls and partisan fools have contributed to it inevitability. :D

Every day of impasse is step toward the Dream Ticket. And every day means more Democratic Party voters and Money as the Democratic Party Primary fills the media.

But it is time for candidates to start talking UNITY.

Either Or Both Candidates can make the UNITY speech.

And Talking UNITY is what will win the Democratic Party nomination.
