It sure takes CHUTZPAH for Hillary to suggest Obama as VP--
given that he is ahead by all measures. I mean REALLY--and no offense to Hillary supporters--but that's just not the way the world works.

8. Because she was asked directly about it
she never "raised" the issue, despite what the talking heads say.

19. She brought it up in a recent speech, apparently

A JOINT TICKET IN NOVEMBER

For the second time since Tuesday's victories, Ms. Clinton suggested she was open to the prospect of teaming up with Mr. Obama as presidential and vice presidential candidates in November.

"I've had a lot of people say, Well, I wish I could vote for both of you.' Well, that might be possible someday. But first I need your vote on Tuesday," she said in Mississippi.

2. That and the fact she says he's not qualified for it
What if she has to go under for some simple surgery or something. The country could be in the hands of the hopemonger/speechmaker for hours! The country might get optimistic in that short time and everything will fall apart.

11. Exactly. Either she doesn't believe the BS she's trying to peddle to
the public, or she believes it and is showing extremely poor judgement in suggesting that someone so unqualified be a "heartbeat away" from that red phone.

Obama should start pointing this out.

4. One reason she does it,
I think, is to embarrass Obama, since he is not reciprocating. She's making herself look like a "uniter". And yes, in some people's minds it will instill the notion that Hillary is winning, even though she is not. Pure PR.

9. No
the reason she does it is because she's been asked directly about it. She gave the right answer. If Obama were asked, I suspect he'd give the right answer, too.

14. No offense
but people here believe a lot of things that aren't true. Have you got a link where Clinton raised the issue on her own? My google search only shows her answering questions about it.

15. words to the effect of "Some people have told me they wish they could vote for both of us, and at
some point that may be possible." Followed by wild cheering -- can't provide a link because I heard the sound bite on public radio.

One minute she's talking up both of them on the same ticket and the next she's saying he brings nothing to his campaign but "a speech he made in 2002," so one does have to question her judgment in choosing a VP, doesn't one.

13. I'm not sure I'm ready to believe the "uniter" bit in light of the
kitchen sink, you know?

But yes, I do think it's a PR move. It certainly succeeded in getting press attention.

16. Her lame attempt at re framing him as merely VP material
Which only shows her hypocrisy, given how much she's trashed him. Claiming he's unfit to be president but fit to be her vice president is ludicrous. But that's Hillary.

17. Chutzpah? I was thinking delusion.
As for Hillary being Baracks veep, it seems to me that her comments (esp. regarding Senator Bomb Bomb)over the past week have prolly screwed the pooch on that possibility.
