If nothing else, can we at least agree on this?

The name calling around here serves no useful purpose. You can advocate for your candidate as forcefully as you want or criticize the other candidate as harshly as you want without using derogatory terms. I have never used anything but "(X) supporters" to refer to supporters of either candidate. If there is some non-derogatory nickname for supporters of either candidate we can agree on, maybe those can be used as well for brevity. That goes for the names of candidates too.

What does everyone think of this? Is there a way to petition to make this an actual GD:P rule? I really think it would raise the level of debate and reduce the number of trolls? What names do you find acceptable to refer to your candidate and fellow supporters?
