What can we do to stop Jeb Bush from running in 2008?
I think regardless of who wins this year (unless we beat * in an LBJ-Goldwater landslide), Jeb will still be prepping for the Repug nomination. The GOP select their nominees based on who pays his dues, and Jeb is the next natural candidate in line for the nod.
We need to stop Jeb from running, or make his campaign a living hell to prevent him from getting the nomination. How can we do this>

12. That sure is true.
JEB (it's not his first name - it's an acronym - like everything else about the family, even his name is fake)....

has a daughter in jail due to substance abuse and prescription fraud, a wife with some nasty issues related to shoplifting and/or customs fraud, and various other things.

The Bush family values are a lot like the Soprano family values, except that the Sopranos are arguably more honest about their business.

15. But none of that will matter to the sheeple
After Rove/Faux are done spinning, the Sheeple will blame Clinton for Jeb's problems.

3. Stop George Bush from winning in 2004
Then throw him and his in jail, and strip them of their assets under the Trading With The enemy Act.

We could take Jeb. Rudy is the one to fear. And I assure you, he's their man.

13. A Giuliani nomination would cause a North-South split in the GOP
The fundies and Neo-Confederates won't vote for a pro-choice, pro-"homosexual agenda" Yankee. In other words, Giuliani would be easier to run against because so many fundies would stay home.

18. I agree
GOPhers across the nation love Rudy for the image that developed around him from dealing with 9/11, but will hate the fact that he comes from NYC. I mean c'mom, he moved in with a gay couple after his ex-wife threw him out of Gracie Mansion. How well do you think THAT will play with the right-wing-nuts of the party?

19. Unfortunately I could be wrong
Case in point, Ahhnold still won the recall, even though McClintock took a good chunck of RW votes from him. Giuliani could make up for lost Dixie votes with enough moderate Dems, DINOs, and apolitical sheeple. He'd even carry NY and CA, which would more than make up for any loss in the South because of despressed turnout/3rd party candidate.

25. he could win the general, but he could not win the nomination
It was once said Pat Robertson was the GOP kingmaker, no one can win the GOP nomination without his approval. And he would never approve a pro-choice candidate. Rudy's only support in the primaries would be from crossover Democrats and independents.

24. no way
no Republican can win the nomination without the Religious Right support. And they would never endorse a pro-choice candidate.

Even the GOP wouldn't nominate a third Bush after two had been tossed out after one term.

6. He's out
After two terms of Baby Bush the nation won't want a third. There are also others in the Republic Party who won't just let Jeb have it.

11. After 12 years of Reagan & Poppy...
...I convinced myself that people would never be gullible enough to believe these criminal spawn of Satan again. But 48% of them did, and the Supreme Court did the rest :(

If Kerry wins, I'm not sure the short term memory loss wouldn't happen again. And these bastards have been behind every Republican administration since Eisenhower, so even if Jeb isn't the frontman, little would change.

Let's just say that he, Michael Jackson, and some Catholic priests have something in common.

10. After shrub is redefeated in November
The American people will finally realize what a bunch of losers the Bushes are: "#41" gets elected on the coattails of a popular 2-term President and then gets booted after his first term. His son gets installed in the White House by corrupt Supreme Court hypocrites, and then loses his re-election bid. In both cases, approval rating went as high as 90% at some point.

27. Would this Nov ticket ever be a George/Jeb---Bush/Bush...
I can actually see this happening should Cheney resign, become sick, die of heart failure, or just be replaced to up the popularity if Bush's numbers continue to fall.

In Bush's desire for shock & awe style announcements, I can see this happening at the Republican Convention..Bush/Bush.

A sickening thought.

28. Easy--Defeat W. in 2004, then put his ass in jail.
Tarnish the Bush name so badly that Jeb will have to run and hide, along with any other politico that carries the name of Bush.

29. It won't matter
If Bush loses this time, his family's near political future will be closed. Or so, I would love to think.

Then again, people were dumb enough to vote the fool we have now, I never can say. There will always be some 30+% that will be loyal to this family for God only knows what reason.
