Reported by right-wing media: Republicans Helped Hillary Win...
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 05:16 PM by AntiFascist
wouldn't it be something if these Republicans got what they deserve: the Clintons in the White House?

Republicans Helped Hillary Win Texas

Wednesday, March 5, 2008 3:55 PM

By: Newsmax Staff

Republican crossover voters apparently helped win the Democratic primary in Texas for Hillary Clinton — with one in every 10 Democratic votes came from Republicans.

And they could have been heeding the call of top-rated radio host Rush Limbaugh, who had been urging Republican listeners to vote for Hillary to prevent the Democrats from unifying around Obama and to keep the two candidates battling each other.

...

According to exit polls, of the 10 percent of Democratic votes that came from Republicans, about 53 percent of the crossovers chose Obama and 46 percent went with Clinton, the Dallas Morning News reports.

But previously these crossovers had voted overwhelmingly in favor of Obama. And the exit polls also show that Hillary won handily among conservative voters, including many Democrats, 53 percent to 43 percent over Obama, reports the Web site Outside the Beltway — which also noted that “Clinton truly might have won the Texas primary on the backs of Rush Limbaugh listeners.”

1. I think these idiots are just bored
with their own candidate and are trying to stir up trouble and spread rumors in our camp. They've got nothing else at this point. It's sad really.

2. After months of hiding it, it's breathtaking how Repugs are out about HRC
They've been planning to run against her -- they've wanted
to run against her -- but they weren't about to disclose
that ... until just the past few weeks. I can't believe how
quickly Limpballs, Insanity and co. have dropped all pretense
and have come out full force for Hillary, admitting almost
gleefully that she's their preferred opponent for Bomb-Bomb
McCane.

The secret is out -- they're more scared of Obama!

8. My republican father
occasionally switched sides in the primaries to vote for the candidate he thought would be most easily defeated. He's since moved to a state where he can't do that, but since McCain had it all locked up, expressed that he'd vote for Hillary if he could.

7. The difference: Obamicans versus GOP mischief-makers.
Your smugness will decrease commensurate with your realization that she can't win.

Good times. ;)

11. It followed on the heels of Limbaugh's plea to the GOP to vote for Hillary to prolong the primary.
In his words, he wants to keep Hillary in so she will continue to bloody up Barack for the GOP this fall.

5. Hillary would be easier for McCain to defeat..
I suspect part of this early on Republican hate for McCain is to get the sheep Republicans to knock off Obama then they will suddenly decide J. M. is fine and dandy.

14. Important point!

I wonder if this could be why Obama consistently is winning caucuses since his surge?

13. Bunch of racists. Afraid of a black man as president.
This is one reason I support Obama. I'd like to see racism end right here.

Those who vote for Obama are trully supporting him and those who voted for Hillary eather want to beat Obama or try to weaken him for Mccain. It Is very simple.

17. So, Rush Limbaugh is now a legitimate source for Obamites?
LOL

This is so warped on so many levels.

18. The point of posting this is...

that Limbaugh is viewed as a "legitimate" source for bonehead Republicans. Limbaugh is quite brilliant in doing this because, even if Hillary ends up winning the GE because of his strategy, he may be assured of keeping his job for years to come railing against the Clintons.
