Sick and tired of Hillary supporters name calling, and word/fact twisting.
I'm so tired of you Hillary supporters twisting words, replaying what Obama supporters have said as though the facts have suddenly changed. The fact is, Obama is ahead in the delegate count. He has no reason to drop out, and it is in fact a reasonable request for Obama supporters to ask Hillary to bow out. Hillary on the other hand is behind in the delegate count. Making a similar call is in no way reasonable. Hillary supporters should instead argue for why she should STAY in the election, not make unreasonable and sophmoric demands that have no basis in the facts (ie, who is actually ahead in the delegate count.)

If you want to call Obama supporters Obamatons, go for it, but don't expect them to turn out to vote for Hillary come November. You've made it clear through your negative bashing that you don't want their vote, don't be surprised when Obama supporters take you up on it.

When EITHER candidate's supporters acts this way they are ultimatly telling the other side that you don't want them to show up for the vote that really matters in November.

1. Sick of Obama supporters calling Hillary supporters "Hillbots".
and claiming that she is personably responsible for the war in Iraq.

9. I've seen more of those threats from Clinton supporters, actually
And I took a poll here that showed a lot more Clinton supporters planned to stay home or vote for another candidate if Obama is the nominee than the other way around.

4. All name calling needs to stop.
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 12:54 PM by CitizenRob
As for the Iraq war, she does bare personal responsibility for voting for it. She is of course only responsible for 1% of the vote in the Senate, but that's still 1% that should have voted against a war that would cost human lives. I can't imagine EVER putting political expedience ahead of human life. Can you?

25. Hillary Did NOT
vote FOR the war. The vote was to prevent tieing the hands of the president. Retrospect is great and she has said she would like to take that vote back, but remember, Kerry, Kennedy (and more than likely Obama had he been there to vote) all voted the same way. The Irag War belongs to Bush.

Just what we need. Another POTUS who's never to blame.

18. Hillary's campaign started it by...
classifying people as 'Hillblazers' and suchlike. Kind of like 'Billary' was a term coined inside the presidential campaign in 1992, which most people forget. So please spare us the fake outrage.

8. The ignore list helps
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 01:02 PM by high density
Except it doesn't help when it's turned off like last night. The place really became a magnet for bullies as far as I could tell. It was (is) like a flashback to high school! I'm not saying I'm completely innocent either, but there are increasing numbers of what seem to be people that do nothing but cause trouble here.

10. I generally don't like to ignore people.
But perhaps I need to start using the ignore list since I'm having trouble mentally filtering out the name callers.

15. I decided it was time to start using it liberally
If I was having a phone conversation with some of these people and they started screaming some of these names at me, I'd just end the conversation and not talk to them again. It's even easier with the ignore list.

21. Neither do I, but it's useful
there's no point in wasting time answering people who can only think in one-liners, are have such a cavalier approach to facts and math that it's impossible to have a reasoned conversation with them anyway (eg some people who think tht because Florida has 210 delegates, Hilary would be able to add all 210 to her total if Florida were counted).

I think a high %age of the people who endlessly repeat stuff that's obviously not true or logical aren't really Hillary supporters anyway, they're disruptors and suchlike.

I suppose that if some people are going to be talking point parrots, bullys, and display other socially unacceptable behaviors that using ignore is the best way to enhance the quality of the discussion.
