Obama needs to play hardball - with the MSM!
He needs to take all the media executives in a back room, bring in his chest, close the door.

Open up the chest. tell them "Take a look in there. That's nearly a hundred million dollars of campaign money from my donors. You want some of that money, don't you? Here, have a tissue and wipe the drool off your face. Yeah. Look at all that tasty money."

"But know that unless you start playing ball, YOU'RE NOT GONNA GET IT!"

"You want me to pay for ads on your network? Stop the hatchet pieces."

"You want your reporters to get interviews with me? Put some of my sound bites on the air responding to Hillary's and McCain's smears."

"You want access after I become President? DON'T CALL ME OSAMA!"

Close the chest, turn towards the door, tell them we'll call them in a few days, and see if they want to see some of that tasty money.

1. Obama's free-ride with the media is nearing an end.

2. Free ride?
Then how come every time I turned on cable news--any of the three news networks for the past week there has been a Hillary surrogate shilling away but no Obama surrogate?

3. Uh, you don't want to piss off the media.
Hey, I agree the corporate media sucks, but you don't want to piss them off or they'll chew you alive. He should be fair with them, grant plenty of interviews, etc. Better to have them as an ally if at all possible. I'm for Obama, but Hillary has been smart to do more interviews, etc.

4. Be careful what you wish for.

Once the MSM takes a lot closer look at The Empty Messiah he won't look quite as new and shiny. If I were an Obama supporter I'd want that love affair with the media to continue as long as possible..

6. So, you're suggesting bribery
and blackmail to get good press coverage for Obama? He's been getting it for free until the last couple of days and they finally started doing their jobs and asking him some tough questions.

You really have no scruples at all, do you?

8. He's got close to a hundred million reasons why the media should play ball with him.
I'm just saying he should use all that campaign money we've been giving him to twist some arms and get some favorable coverage.

He's got more money than Hillary and McCain combined. He has enough that he can stay ahead of them in media spending, yet still tantalize them with more and keep them hungering.

9. Why would he do that? They've been fawning over him for months

and attacking Senator Clinton.

One more time: the candidate the media push is the one the GOP wants to run against, the one they are sure they can beat.
