Obama talks a lot, but answers little
PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN | Senator hounded by Rezko questions

SAN ANTONIO -- As Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) closed a combative press conference on Monday, where he was thrown seriously off message being asked about influence peddler Tony Rezko and why his campaign at first denied his economic adviser Austan Goolsbee met the Canadian consul in Chicago and talked about NAFTA, some reporters -- me included -- wanted him to take more questions.

"Guys," said Obama, who is campaigning on a platform that there should be more government transparency. "I mean come on. I just answered like eight questions," he said as he waved and left to a chorus of shouted questions.

3. The Sun-Times is Chicago's resident right wing rag.
I opened this post just to see if I correctly guessed which paper you were referring to.

I wasn't surprised.

6. Good for him.
At some point our candidates are going to have to stand up to the media or we will just continue letting them make all the calls for us. I'm getting kind of sick of that myself. Some folks are just getting frustrated and pissed off that there is no "there" there and they are desperate to drum up any kind of suspicion or negativity for their own personal reason or gain. It's time for the media to go back to reporting events of the day instead of trying to shape public opinion.

I would have like to have seen a little of that kind of backbone from Clinton when asked whether Obama was a Muslim. She sure found her spine when asked about her good friend McCain's lobby-sex-gate. I get the feeling if Meridith had pushed in her interview we would have seen a similar reaction from Senator Clinton.

7. That is not backbone. Backbone is answering the tough questions not running away.

10. What part of answering the same damned questions over and over again do you not get.
They could have kept him there all day. He is in a hard fought campaign, ya know.

We live in TX. We were at a family party and we were talking about who to vote for and he said, "Obama says the right things but I have looked and do not see to many details on how he plans to do what he say." Like it or lump it he need to come out with details.
