A message from an Obama supporter to all the Clinton supporters
:hi:

The most important thing to remember is that one way or another we must get a Democrat in the White House this November. I am of course pulling for my guy, but I will pull the lever for Hillary (even without holding my nose) in order to beat McWarPig and see that our troops come home and we dont start anymore illegal wars (ie Bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran.

I hope that we all can remain friends in here so that as soon as we decide on our nominee we can unite to defeat this old, white hatemonger. We know that the repukes like to steal elections so it will take a huge margin of victory for it to be tamperproof.

We must win so that we can take back the Supreme Court before we lose it for a generation. We also need to win in such a fashion so that we can bring in a flood of other Democrats in the House and Senate.

So, hate me today because I support Obama, but remember who the real enemy is in the long run. WE must beat the republicans this November.

2. nice sentiment - I know that you mean well
I realize that you don't intend to be disingenuous but isn't it a bit late for Obama supporters to start asking disenchanted and disgusted Hillary supporters to hold their nose when they vote?

The GE will be what it is. If Obama runs a good campaign in the GE, he will get the votes that he needs to win. If he doesn't, we'll likely be going through this all over again in 2012.

I can only hope that 2012 will be less divisive...

3. K&R!
At this point I just want it to be over, honestly. I think we have two fine candidates, one I obviously like more than the other, but I wouldn't lose sleep if he didn't win.

So let's forget this last year and work on getting someone elected to erase george bush's legacy from the memory of the world.

5. I'd like to share how in awe I am of both candidates. This has got to
be positively grueling for them. It takes a special type of person to weather this primary season, on their toes and constantly going, speaking, debating, etc., and my hat is off to them both!

6. Amen to that!

7. Which is why supporters on BOTH sides should consider what happens with personal attacks
of each other's candidate.

It sure does NOT do their candidate any good

The truth is NEITHER side can win in the general election without each others supporters

People should consider that next time they wish to personally attack their opponent's canidate or supporters

I will gladly vote for Hillary or Barrack in the general election WITHOUT hesitation

8. Good one! Thanks
I'm not your enemy :) I don't consider anyone on DU my enemy, even the worst of the flamers that I get furious at. But people like you allow me to overlook Obama's supporters who seem to exist to vilify Hillary and her supporters.

We'll unite after the primaries, whoever wins. Sure, there will be some who will refuse to, and that's their choice. But most of us know that it's absolutely imperative for our country's survival to put a Democrat in the White House.

9. Nice post! I voted for Hillary in the primary, but I would be proud to
vote for Barack Obama in the GE. They are both extraordinary human beings.

10. Great post. As someone who has been in neither camp,
I am always heartened to read posts like yours. Yes, we have a common enemy -- and I do mean enemy -- and that is where we should be focusing our attacks.

Thank you.

13. I don't hate you at all friend.
We must win, we must put aside emotions about particular candidates to achieve that goal.

14. i've listened to the crap on MSNBC
and Ed Schultz and then 16 years of right winged radio b.s. about Hillary then to come here and listen to people of our own party do the same it would be hard to support Obama in the ge...for me personally i will need a cooling off period then i'm sure i will support Obama if he is our candidate.

15. After what was just done to the Clintons, I flat don't care anymore.
I've voted in every election since 1968 but I will not be voting in this one.

I will never vote Republican because of the sleazy tactics I have learned to hate from watching the right-wing endlessly attack the Clintons. And this year, I've seen those exact, same tactics coming from the MSM through its partners within the Obama Campaign.

I'm used to it from the MSM, but I won't tolerate wingnut tactics from so-called 'progressives.' So, as a matter of principle, I will not be voting for Obama.

If that means McCain wins, so be it. My outrage at the injustice being done to the Clintons trumps my hopes for my country. If the majority of progressives can act like wingnuts, what hope is there anyway?
