4. The problem with a political forum is that some of the members see their candidate as a savior.

They see them as the one true Messiah who can lead this nation out from the ashes. When you attack their candidate, they feel you are in extension attacking them. It takes time to get over those feelings but most will before election day. Go back into the 2004 archives to see what I mean.
