A former coworker's husband claims to have grown up with Ralph Nader..
...he was born in Winstead, CT around the same time. Said the Nader family was weird (big surprise), were never allowed to eat dessert, and when the mother did make a cake and served a piece, she took it away from Ralph and his brother when they'd only eaten a little.

Sort of sounds true, because it would explain a lot!

1. And I'll bet his parents made him drive a Corvair to college also.

3. Wow, he got his cake taken from him?
What kind of a wacko mom gives a kid some cake then takes it away? Strange.

I agree his childhood probably had something to do with how he turned out.

4. I know, it's one thing to NOT give a kid a piece of cake...
...but to do so only to take it back is really whacko.

5. He couldn't have cake when he was a kid
so now he's trying his best to ruin our party as an adult?

6. "If you don't eat your meat,
you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?"

Another brick in Nader's thick skull.

7. Is that from Mommy Dearest?
Where Joan brings out the rotting meat for about a week each night for Christina's dinner?

12. Would it be a stretch to say that Nader's parents are responsible for more deaths?
After all, Iraq, 9-11 (I still claim that could have been rpevented with a President in office who had a brain), coal mining accidents due to not enforcing safety regs...I could go on.

13. that would be a stretch
Nader was a superb consumer activist.

Unfortunately his legacy will forever be being a fly in the ointment.
