Stop the Madness.
Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 07:02 PM by busymom
The anti-Clinton rhetoric has reached pathological heights. She is not campaigning any differently than any other polticians in similar situations. Your attacks on her are hate-based and not about issues. You are really showing your true colors.

Clinton supporters....stand proudly behind our candidate. She is an incredible woman and I have no doubt that she will soar to greatness beyond what the white house could offer her.

4. busymom..you are seeing this from a very biased view
I agree "STOP THE MADNESS" but please don't follow your request with a one sided request...
Really - The hate and unfair attacks are coming from boths sides.

Your biased request is useless - just fans the flames more..DOn't you see that?

6. I'm trying to make the same point. There is no high road left for either side.
I fear it's a losing battle on a board dominated by supporters of one or the other though. Most don't see what you speak of.

9. I do...but at the same time,
I've logged on here several times today to try and just discuss the issues. The threads are extremely biased in Obama's favor and they are nasty...plain and simple.

17. No, it really does.
Sorry Tom. No offense intended at all. I appreciate the intent of your post and don't want to rain on it. But it has come from both sides to the point of disgust. I don't really support either one, so trust me, I see it in a different light than any supporter of one or the other, and it's been ugly from the get go from both camps.

30. It's fine, I don't take offense over this disagreement
I know we all notice attacks on our own side more because we feel them more personally. I will simply say that, if for no other reason than the Iraq war and the positions Clinton and Obama took on the IWR at the time, there is a deeper well of anger that ferments into more hate expressed here against Hillary.

But we can agree to differ on this - it does get ugly from both sides.

31. I think you're right that the war has been a factor.
Obama, rightly or wrongly, appears to have the high ground on this, and it has hurt her (rightfully so, I may add, though Obama's position on it does nothing for me either). There has been more hate towards her, on that we can agree. But the hate on both sides is sad, especially considering how alike the two are. I can't understand why one can like one but not the other, but I'm weird like that. And of course I'm not thrilled with either. :)

Peace to you Tom.

8. the thing that is different is that Obama is a Democrat.
I can't remember anything this vicious going from one Dem to another. It damages more than the candidates--it damages the party.

10. We should be wooing voters, not alienating them
If you are for Obama or Hillary, we are first and foremost DEMOCRATS. The last I checked Both are wearing a (D) behind their names. You can not continue to insult each other and expect people to forgive and forget. The longer this continues, the harder it will be to close ranks around the nominee and concentrate on getting Him/Her elected.

You can not continue to insult people, then expect them to pull the lever for your candidate...you get more flies with honey than you do with vinager. Time is running out, sorry to say one of these candidates are not going to make it, and the sooner we can deal with this fact. The stronger defense our party can have against the GOP.

YES, STOP the MADNESS!

Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 08:02 PM by RC
Hillary is campaigning just like any other politician that can't back up her stand on the issues.

What happened to the issues? "Issues? Wazat?" is not the correct answer.

Prosecuting the war criminals.
Stopping bu$h's war.
Global warming.
Guantanamo.
The Cuban embargo.
Getting the insurance companies out of the health care business. Bean counters are not health care professionals.
Address the court decisions protecting business from their criminal liability.
Living wage jobs back in this country.
And on and on and on and on....

16. EVERY OTHER DAY there is a new attack
Ok, maybe not every other day, but she can't handle that she lost the nomination, and is now slinging mud more than a pig in a pen.

Handshakegate. Plagiarism. Mailergate.

What's next to come from the desperate Hillary Clinton campaign?

20. For the life of me I can't understand how anyone here can honestly hate either of our candidates
Hillary Clinton is a brilliant senator. Barack Obama is an extraordinarily gifted speaker. We have an embarrassment of riches and chose to pretend we're at war. Thank God the party as a whole isn't nearly as petty and smug as DU.

21. Wow
I think people lose a lot of credibility when they on one hand beg for people to stop criticizing their candidate and then on the other hand spread outrageous, untruthful, despicable, hateful, racist, lies about the other candidate. It shows that one side can dish it but can't take it. Wonder how that would work out in a GE.

As someone else said in another thread, I see "pink tu tu's". There is no need to have a complete breakdown just because your candidate's campaign has more personalities than a bi-polar, schizophrenic.

Remember, there is a possibility that Hillary will win this nomination with OH, TX, and PA. You ALSO don't want to alienate Obama's supporters as well, even though a large majority of the Dem core and loyal base has already been alienated by her campaign. If Hillary is the nominee, our party will have to make up for the mass exodus of Independent voters moving towards McCain and the mass exodus of progressives and lefties going for Nadar. She will have to fly on a wing, a prayer, and an OBama voter to get her within spitting distance of a McCain. That's the facts, Jack.

and her handler Mr Penn.

Its amazing that Hillary went negative on Obama at the debate and was roundly booed for it.

Then she turns around and goes apeshit negative on him today? What the hell is she thinking??

Is she thinking at all?

Guess she will learn the hard way when she loses Texas and Ohio.:nopity:

29. I'm kinda late to Hillary's campaign. Not there in the begining of this race. But not leaving now.
If 08 doesn't go her way, four years from now it surely will. There will be no Obama presidency. It will not happen. But let the fools sail this ship for now. When we crash, and the spell is broken, we'll know well who to look to for real leadership.
