Bush Speech: Iraq War = War on Terror
Bush is making his 1 year anniversary Iraq War speech, & he spoke for more than 10 minutes about terror around the world before mentioning Iraq.

This is bait & switch, pure & simple. There was no terror coming from Iraq or Saddam Hussein. But because of this war. terrorists are being created all around the world.

A recent Gallup poll shows a majority of Americans continue to support this elective war because Bush has so convinced Americans that 9/11 & the Iraqi War are connected.

I can only conclude that Americans were so traumatized by 9/11, that they will believe anything this guy tells them.

How should John Kerry handle this issue for his campaign?

2. The biggest problem is that
in eight months Kerry can't even begin to undo the damage Mr. Peepers has done. I think the best thing he can do is prove that he too will take a strong stance on terrorism and blow that Chimpism out of the water.

3. Disconnect
We need to disconnect the Iraq = War on Terror line that the administration keeps mouthing.......they seem to be following the old line that repetition of a lie = truth. We've got to stop this because dubya's whole campaign is based on it.

5. Exactly!
Just saw Wes Clark on CNN try to make the case these are not the same things.

But the media does not help; they keep repeating Bush lies.

4. This morning CNN had Zawahri's picture over an Iraq War banner.
They were discussing Zawahri while the text was diplaying something completely different. This is how it works for this regime. Kerry, and all Democrats, will have to point it out everytime they see it. For some reason, I don't see it happening, though. I just don't understand why we are so weak on this. It's as obvious as the bump on Zawahri's forehead. The Bush regime says one thing and does another. It lies. Repeatedly. Iraq and the "War on Terror" are two different things.

Something doesn't feel right. I mean, I was a Kerry supporter from the beginning, then when Clark entered the race I got really excited about him. When he left, I was content with Kerry. Something is making me nervous, though. Something I just can't put my finger on. Maybe it's just that Bush is fighting so hard to be the "war president" and so far, it seems like he's getting a free ride on it. What the hell is a "war president" anyway? That's supposed to be a good thing? We shall see what happens next week when Kerry comes back from vacation.

7. luring the terrorists to Iraq, instead of here, they claim
but they also claim they have made Iraqis safer... how many suicide bombers struck inside Iraq during the pre-invasion years?

10. b*sh is the most prolific terrorist recruiter of all time!
He said it's civilization against terrorism and fight fight fight everything. Sounds like his old cheerleading mantra. It's been easy for him to morph the two issues and fool some of the people. Our side needs to separate and clarify the two.

Clark, Dean, Edwards and whomever else (McCain) can pound this issue. This is not like the Gore campaign. Today there is a huge constellation of people working and organizing against this admin and they WILL handle it.

It is gratifying some foreign leaders are speaking against b*sh. The bs (bait & switch) they've used on the world is wearing thin. Can we track if RNC money is used to payoff foreign leaders? The admin's Iraq slush fund must be nearly depleted.

B*sh never approaches terrorism at the source: Instead of nation building after wrecking an entire country, let's build these places up (without invading) in all ways so there are few disaffected kids who turn to terror cells in the first place.
