My proposal: Seat Florida and Michigan's delegates BUT..
Do not seat those two states' superdelegates. This punishes the party bigwigs in those two states for violating the rules but doesn't create an emotional battle over disenfrachisement that would tear the party apart.

If that is not acceptable, seat Florida and Michigan but give Obama all of Michigan's 55 uncomitted delegates.

What says DU?

1. My sense is that it would be the MOST fair to the voters and to the
candidates to hold the vote again if they want to seat any delegates. Brand spanking new.

If not, they need to adhere to the rules they set forth.

2. You can't do that, because those states voters would be disenfranchised.
Too many stayed home, or didn't show up late/leave early from work believing their vote wouldn't matter. In MI - Obama wasn't even on the Ticket. Clearly Clinton would have at least some of her votes by default of no other viable option. In FL, unless you were a property owner, people were being told to stay home by their local organizers.

The only fair way to seat them, to all involved (voters & candidates) is to re-vote, and let their voices be heard. I also agree though, that their delegates that participated in breaking the rules should NOT get a vote. They're the cause of the clusterfuck.

8. There was record turnout in the Democratic primaries
What is this "too many stayed home" stuff? Also "people were being told to stay home by their local organizers". Where is that coming from? What people? What organizers? Looks like the "people" didn't pay attention to the "organizers". You are making stuff up just to push your agenda.

3. Seat none. That was the agreement
going into the campaigning and that should stand. Nothing more, nothing less. Everyone knew the rules and agreed to them.

4. No. That is not acceptable at all.
Both state knowingly broke the rules. Their delegates can not count toward the nominee.
