1. can I put that on a t-shirt?
Seriously. I've been looking for the perfect quote for a McCain t-shirt. I've done McCain't and No He Can't but this Emerson quote is beautiful.

4. Off topic: I hate all you Obama people for using the Simon Bar Sinister Avatar
I was going to use it with a picture of James Carville and put under it:
Separated at Birth

5. I'm going to say something cold
Surviving a prisoner of war camp makes a man a hero but it doesn't neccessarily make him a good human being.

8. It's not cold
It's true.

Look at some of the leaders of the Chinese Revolution, the Bolshevik Revolution, people involved in the French Revolution and some involved in reich wing groups in South America.

They endured serious hardships in labor camps, re-education camps, gulags, etc.
But some of them were horrible people.

12. Dean said McCain "doesn't seem to really have an ethical compass."
http://journals.democraticunderground.com/madfloridian/1846

"Well, now it looks like John McCain is part of the corruption problem in Washington. He has done things that are legally questionable -- the Keating Five business back in the '90s -- but he doesn't seem to really have an ethical compass. He doesn't seem to have an instinct about what is the right thing to do and what isn't the right thing to do. He talks a good game, but he's just like all those Republicans in Washington have been for all these years, and I don't think the American people want a president like that."

He really went after him in that interview.

14. I had to kick it myself because it dropped.
Every one yells where's Howard Dean, why isn't he doing something. And when he does it get ignored totally.
