"Plouffe in Raleigh" (Obama's campaign manager in Edwards home town)
Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 12:53 PM by Bleachers7

What's that about?

"North Carolina could end up being very important in the nomination fight," he tells the News & Observer.

A true point, though ... it is also where John Edwards lives.

The campaign manager for Barack Obama said he was helping organize and raise money for the upcoming May 6 primary, Rob Christensen reports.

"North Carolina could end up being very important in the nomination fight," he told Dome.

Interviewed at a fundraiser in the law offices of David Kirby in Raleigh, Plouffe said that the primary is only nine weeks away and Obama campaign needs to begin organizing in the state as soon as possible.

He said the trip today was not about courting John Edwards, although he acknowledged the campaign is interested in the former North Carolina senator's endorsement.

14. I've been trying to do the same thing.
The post limit is annoying in that way, though I see people duping posts all day.

11. Who cares...
... the sun has long since set on the day when John Edwards' endorsement meant anything.

He should have done it a long time ago when it mattered. But he was too chicken to take a chance on not picking the winner.

I don't understand why people are so hung up on this.

12. Oh please, how gullible does he think we are?
In North Carolina to fundraise, my ass. He hasn't even been in PA recently that I know of, but he's already concerned about North Carolina? Uh huh. What could be happening in North Carolina that is so important that Plouffe needs to see about it personally? Hmmm....

Interesting that most of those in attendance are also large Edwards donors.

Sure David, we believe you. ;)

13. I think he's there catering to Edwards
Because there are other primaries before NC. That said, if I were in Obama's camp I'd do the same thing.
