Obama to Dallas crowd: "We're sending Bush back to Texas. He's coming back."

He stirred the crowd by noting that a son of Texas would soon be on his way back to the state.

"Whatever else happens, the name George W. Bush won't be on the ballot," he said to roars of applause. "We're sending Bush back to Texas. He's coming back."

The large audience at Reunion Arena was one of the more raucous and energetic crowds Mr. Obama has encountered since arriving in Texas on Tuesday, when he visited San Antonio and Houston.

Older white women danced with young black men who sported hip-hop attire. Rustic men in cowboy hats took photos with well-manicured college-aged women.

There were more teenagers than I have ever seen at a political gathering before.

Some had a shining "my first election" ardor about them; others, some of whom looked like they won't be eligible to vote before 2012, appeared to have cut school to attend an exciting event with their friends. They stomped and cheered and used their cellphones to take pictures of themselves to post on their MySpace pages.

Maybe it was the representation of youth in the crowd that lends the oft-cited air of a rock concert that has been attributed to Obama rallies.

But that wasn't quite it, not entirely. It was more like church —not the stuffy kind, but roof-shaking soul church where people testify and dance in the aisles when the spirit's upon them.

4. Bush is going somewhere away from Washington.
It does not take an Obama win to do that.

That's a very odd statement.

If Texas will take him. They may run him back to Connecticut. He can go get another DUI.

19. Actually...
The Great State of Texas denies paternity on that son of a Bar and we have ALWAYS denied paternity on that boy. We suggest that you talk to Mr. Maine and Mr. Connecticut for further information.

20. Yep, a sad day for us when he became Gov here. Too bad we didn't send Ann Richards instead.
She was a fantastic and great leader and would have made one hell of a President!

30.  Oh, so that means he is not going to hold him accountable for his warcrimes?
Tell me again how he is against the war in Iraq when he doesn't even have the guts to call for a trial for Bush and his cabal after his term is up. He will just let him slink back to Texas to live a quiet life without justice for what he did to this country? How lightly so many Democrats now take all of this. It makes me sick.
