Obama's free entry vs. HRC's Dallas 2/29/08 pit stop that (per Dallas newspaper) will have a fundrai$er entry fee last I read.

A site has been finalized for Barack Obama's Wednesday rally in Dallas.

Reunion Arena will host the event, which is free to the public. No tickets are required. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and the program is scheduled to start at noon.

Mr. Obama's Texas tour begins Tuesday with stops in Houston and San Antonio.

His Dallas campaign office officially opens Tuesday.

I'm searching for the original article now...found it on their online site---forget the exact amount.

Couldn't find the DMN article but I looked for and posted the "reception" website in the OP. So far no Dallas rally has been announced for her, never mind a free rally. Only the reception in a supporter's private home has been announced. Entry/donation fees range from $250 to $2300.

4. Is it possible she's holding a fundraiser while Obama is holding a free rally?
They're two different things, and each does both.

I'd like a link.

I added the link to the only announced HRC DFW visit.

I suspected she had written off North Texas when all her people kept talking about was South Texas in the past few weeks.
At this point, North Texas gets a free public rally from Sen. Obama and a minimum $250 entry fee to a private reception for Sen. Clinton.

10. Sounds like a fundraiser, not a rally.

13. It's a 1990's rally
It's one of the reason a lot of us think she is for whatever reason "stuck" in the pre-McCain/Feingold days where you got your money from big-ticket dinners. It's like Howard Dean never happened or something.

But, yeah, I think comparing it to Obama's rally is pretty unfair, unless it's just to point out the difference in their campaigning and fundraising strategies.

And I suppose to be fully accurate it's neither a rally nor a fundraiser but a "reception".

12. Word is that a mandate has been placed on the attendance of Hil's
fundraiser. Your wages will be garnished until the $250 minimum is collected in full.
