STOP! Blaming partisanship in Washington on the Clintons!

When Bill Clinton won, he was the first Dem in 12 years...the Repukes felt they owned the White House, and were out to get him...combine that with a majority of Dems in Congress who were actually pretty spineless (sound familiar?) and the blood flowed. Blame it on the Repukes who never play nice, and who aren't going to play nice even if BO gets in...oh sure, there'll be lots of hand-shaking and photo ops, but politics is a blood sport and always will be. We will have to fight for every little inch and always will...no matter who gets in.

By the way, remember when the Repos came up with a new outrageous charge against the Clintons daily, and it drove up his popularity numbers? During impeachment?

Each time some new thing "broke" like 'hand shake gate,' or 'speech gate' or 'cult gate' it helped Obama.

I don't think the Hill campaign realized how they helped Obama by attempting to make issues out of what most people don't much care about. But I would think they would, after Bill's simular experience.

4. a lot of the Senate majority Clinton had in his first term

were southern Democrats, who were really more like Republicans when it came to issues. It was Sam Nunn, a Democrat, who put the shiv in Clinton's gays in the military attempt. And that's why we got don't ask don't tell. That's just one example.

This notion that some have that Obama is magically going to charm the Republicans into some sort of unity government is beyond naive. It's political suicide.

the same way they did clintons....imo that's when the obama fans either turn on him declaring him to be a sell out....or they start being apologists like the supporters bush has left....a grassroots movement is a really nice idea....but when it crashes into real world politics....and real money....it will come crashing down.....obama will either sell out or be ineffective....

Like it or not, McCain has a real record of accomplishment in the Senate, including tons of bipartisan legislation. What is Obama going to bring to the table to counter that with?
