How a candidate runs for office
Is a pretty good indicator how they will run their Presidency. In the case of the remaining four candidates, none of them have ever really run a big business or a state or a presidency. So the best indicator of the job they would do, can be seen in how well their campaign is run. I would think that it's safe to say a candidate that runs a strong campaign that maintains strong finances and a consistent and successful messages, would be the candidate who has the most potential for success. After all, it's not all that much different. You choose a staff, you decide how you are going to achieve your goals and you go about achieving them.

2. Yes
One needs to surround themselves with good people, to be a successful president. So what sort of choices they make for their campaign staff, can be a good indicator of what sort of choices they will make, if they get to the White House.

3. Here´s an interesting statement I once overheard.
It was in the mid 1980s. At a private party, a former US Ambassador to XXX under Nixon said "Jimmy Carter was an extremely intelligent man, but he surrounded himself with weak advisors."

If it´s true or not, I´ll never really know. But, it´s something to think about.
