Not that I won't vote for Clinton but I'm not sure he should endorse either one, yet. Must he? Is it crucial that he throws his support behind one or the other? If I were him, I wouldn't endorse at least until Gore does. Maybe not until just before the convention. Or maybe at the convention. He doesn't owe anyone.

I don't like Clinton, but she is the better of the two on the issues.

2. I wonder why he is waiting- perhaps for the meeting with Obama?
He must have a reason for waiting.

3. I suspect he won't endorse anybody.
He probably feels a Dem is going to get in and his best chance of doing good for this country will be in landing a job in the next administration. Then again, if he wants to be the Vice President of the United States of American, he might be tempted to do otherwise.

6. She is the lobbyist candidate
If he endorses her. He will show he was full of hot air when he claimed he was against lobbyist and was real about changing Washington. I'm not saying he would need to endorse Obama or anyone. But an endorsement of Clinton makes NO sense

18. Look, Obama trucks with lobbyists too. He's got Tom Daschle out there
Tom Daschle is not a registered lobbyist, but he is a de facto one. More to the point, his wife, AFAIK, IS a registered lobbyist - for the airline industry.

For what it's worth, not all lobbyists are bad. The Sierra Club, for instance, has lobbyists and I, for one, welcome THEIR influence (I don't know the full list of Hillary's lobbyist contacts, and I'm not implying that the Sierra Club is among them - it's just an example). This article explains a little bit about lobbying. You cannot paint all lobbyists with the same brush.

7. The North Carolina primary is May 6th...
...I imagine he will endorse by then or won't endorse at all. It's a very close race and could go either way. I really want him as part of either a Clinton or Obama administration so not endorsing might be his best bet.

really, John can make his decision and I will still support his cause. I chose Obama with my free will and he is entitled to his free will as well.

11. Clinton voter demographics better match Edwards voter
demographics.

Lower education, lower income, older.

12. Meh
John can endorse whoever he wants to. Or decline to endorse. I'm not saying I won't listen ... hell, I voted for him after he suspended his campaign. Obviously I respect him. But I also have to think for myself about things. His endorsement therefore carries some weight with me ... but not enough to force a change in position.

Right now, I prefer Obama to Clinton. I think Obama can generate coat tails that Clinton will not. And I think that after the crap we witnessed in the House today, we really need to start focusing on getting more Democratic Party representatives and Senators elected. Obama just might be able to summon a wave ... and that is what dominating my thinking right at this moment.

Edwards. In 2004, he didn't impress me much. This time around, he was brazenly and defiantly carrying a message this country needs (and perhaps does not want) to hear. This time it was clear he was acting with gut, heart and brain engaged to the same purpose, a purpose he deeply believed was right.

For these reasons, he remains my first choice. I often don't get what I want ... :) But if we can grow the majority in Congress, I'll be pretty damn content.

14. Its a bit of a moot point now. He's waited too long and courted both too much for it
to mean anything of principle. No matter who he comes out for, if anyone, the other side will simply say "He/she gave him the best deal."

I think most of his supporters have made up their minds to back one of the other candidates, or to back no one, already.

15. I hope he doesn't endorse anyone.
I don't see why he should. Who have Biden, Richardson, or Kucinich endorsed?

I don't get the people who are questioning why he hasn't endorsed anyone yet and what's he waiting for etc. I agree that he doesn't owe anyone. If he genuinely WANTS to throw his endorsement to someone, then fine, but I honestly hope he doesn't and don't feel that he HAS to do it.

Don't do it John!! Just say NO!

it would really make that much difference.
