What's the 'nuclear' option for Kerry? (or 'nuke-yu-lar' if you like)

Sme people have been saying its attacking that during 27% of his presidency he's been on vacation, or that he read kid's books for 20 minutes after the second plane hit and then fled to Nebraska.

In my opinion, if Kerry has the guts, Bush's failure in regards to 9/11 could be played up even more successfully, but it goes against the status quo.

The big elephant in the room is this: Osama has achieved his stated goals. US troops are getting out of Saudi Arabia, we have trampled all over the civil rights we afford our citizens, and there is a small band of crusading imperialists sitting in the desert that encourages hatred of the US and Christianity/Judaism and turns heretofore peaceful citizens of Iraq into determined guerillas.

Bush is running on his response to 9/11. Nothing else that is 'positive' has come out of his presidency. In my opinion, that response is fully vulnerable to attack. Though Kerry should not roll this out yet, it can always remain an option. Deflating Bush's 9/11 'leadership' would be relatively easy, since the facts are on our side. That Bush would fire his opening salvo defending the Patriot Act makes him even more vulnerable. :)
