32. Errr, next week? Are you talking about WI or OH?
March 4th will be climatic all-right. Unless HRC wins BOTH TX and OH with at least 60% she's not going to make it. Obama's got the money and time after WI to seal the deal. The pressure on Hillary to drop out coming from the party will be too much for her to withstand. I'm sure her staff will try to keep her pumped up, after all it's their jobs and paychecks on the line, but it'll be over. Let's hope she can go gracefully so we can get on with the real business at hand, trouncing McCain and getting about six more Senate seats!

And then Obama campaigns in these places and wins most of them. Just sayin.

49. Wrong
Well, the Ohio primaries are not next week. According to CNN, Obama has a 119 pledged delegate lead. Ohio has 141 pledged delegates. So, if Obama maintains his current lead, Hillary will have to win by 92%...

15. Two things
1) I'm repulsed by this comment in the same way you are. And you probably know I support Obama.

2) Isn't it more appropriate to address the poster you disagree with rather than claim that ALL Obama supporters or Clinton supporters are alike? If your goal is to try to make the other side look bad, then your strategy is best. If you actually want to change the quality of discourse on DU, then maybe the other option would be more effective.

We are seeing Obama narrow the gap.

I think within a week we'll see Obama within 10 points. In the two weeks leading up to the primary, Obama will be on the ground talking to voters. That can only help.

21. It's an uphill battle for him
No question about it. It will be his toughest battle to date.

But yesterday I laid out some benchmarks that Obama needs to meet in order to win Ohio. Here they are:

45% of the black vote
80% of the black vote
40% of the white vote
40% of the Asian/other vote

If he meets those benchmarks, then I do believe he will win Ohio.

If so, then the results come to no surprise to me.

Obama's base of young voters were underrepresented in this poll, most likely. The reality is probably around 5 points.

He smashes her on independent voters... THey werent even sampled and they can vote in this primary.

Its going to be much much closer - and she must win by this margin or there will be no gain for her.

In the coming weeks Obama and Clinton will be campaigning in Ohio, and that is the kiss of death for Hillary. As is always the case, the more the voters see of Clinton the less they like her, the more they see of Obama the more they like him. Watch and see.

She has to blow out this state with 61% or more of the vote, or its a win for Obama.
