Stop Peeing in my Kool Aid!
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 10:54 AM by IndieLeft
You know what, I am sorry that Clinton has lost 9 straight contests. But you know what, it's really simple. More people like Obama. They like his message. He gives them hope.

If the Hillary supporters on here cannot understand that, then they have a real problem. Show some class. Show some of the class that your candidate has lacked.

I don't see why you all have such a big problem with him. It can't be his message and it can't be his record. If you are just a bunch of cynics... fine. But Obama is a fine candidate. We would be lucky to have him as president.

You know darned well that if this was the other way around, you would be expecting the same from Obama supporters.

I guess that's too much to ask for.

At any rate, stop peeing in my Kool Aid. It tastes fine without any of your... preservatives.

Obama Kool-Aid.... MMMmmm Tastes Like Progress!

3. If you can stay above the pissing contests here it is really fund to read the flame wars!
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 10:56 AM by Mountainman
I use to hate coming here but now since it seems there is going to be some end to this primary slug fest it's getting fun to see the winners and losers posts!

I didn't join in the pissing contests here because they are meaningless juvenile bull shit posts. I voted for Obama in the CA primary but I think either candidate would make a good president.

So keep slugging it out while you can, I'll enjoy it from here on in.

attack someone because of the number of post they make.

And, just because you don't register right away doesn't make you new. I would bet I've been her longer than half of the registered members.

And besides... how long to you think it takes to get a thousand posts? Not very long.

11. And how is it unproductive?
I come on here and see post after post of BS Obama bashing. So, my response if unproductive... because I have under 1000 posts, but all of the other threads on here are fine.

Yeah... that's right. They share your view, so they must be productive.

19. You can criticize my position w/o attacking me. Learned that around
the family table.

I have issues w/your candidate as you do with mine. But please - don't take my criticism of your public message personally.

26. I point out again that the original criticism was toward your unproductive
post. That is the opinion of the responder, nothing more.

You characterized that reaction as an attack, which is not warranted. Now you accuse me of censorship? Please ... try to get along with others who mean you no harm.

9. The best you can say is the country is divided. But in the land of
American Idol, a cooling period is always called for. It's why we have bicameral government ... although I'm sure you hold the Senate in low esteem these days.

14. That's why I think we need Obama
...because it IS time to bring this country together. Bush had an incredible opportunity to do that, but chose... well he chose to become a war criminal, but the point is that once again the country is ready to come together. And this time thousands don't have to die to make it happen.

People are once again willing to think about someone else instead of just themselves.

Obama does not peddle false hopes. He says very plainly, you will have to work for it. There will be a struggle. It will NOT come easy. But togeather... WE can achieve.

And if that makes him a hopemonger... fine. I can live with that. And you know why? Because I would rather live with hopes than live in fear.

If you want to bring us together, your candidate will have to overcome the glee of his supporters.

38. Frankly....
...I am sooooooo sick of some of the Clinton supporters implying that I am stupid because I am not falling at her feet and worshiping her. I am so sick of the arrogant attitudes coming from way too many of that crowd. Now...pls....I am not saying that ALL Clinton supporters are like that, but I have in the last week have been basically told by at least two of them how clueless I am because I am not in their camp.

I supported Edwards and am leaning heavily toward Obama...and one of the reasons I am going Obama ~~ in addition to the fact that he really has some good policy stances ~~ is the way the Clinton supporters have acted toward me. If those are the kinds of people Hillary attracts, count me out. And...btw...not all Obama supporters are great or perfect, but they just do not come on as vicarious when they act out as do those who support Hillary.

JMHO

I have found the vast majority of Hillary supporters to be... well... for a lack of a better word, normal.

Although, in Chicago you have a much smaller sample size.

42. They are the much worse on here....
...but that probably has to do with this being an anonymous board. In real life, they are NOT that much better ~~ but just not as obnoxious on here.

I really dislike the ignore feature, but some of the people on here are simply BEGGING for it!

BTW: Chicago is a great place. My late husband was a guide at the Field Museum when he was in HS...many, many years ago...and he went to law school at John Marshall. He was raised in Riverside ~~ what a beautiful little town! I really enjoyed our trips back there.
