Anyone mind if I brag?
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 04:55 PM by Truth2Tell
So I posted this prediction for the Washington State caucuses last Wednesday the 6th:

Obama 56 delegates
Clinton 32 delegates
Uncommitted/Edwards 9 delegates

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Truth2Tell/77

Now the actual final count looks like it will be:

Obama 57 delegates
Clinton 31 delegates
Uncommitted 9 delegates

See for yourself if you like:

78 pledged delegates allocated by percentage of caucus votes as can be seen here: http://www.washblog.com/story/2008/2/9/20545/16320

And current superdelegate preferences here: http://betterdonkey.org/node/1076

Screw humility. Proud to say I nailed it. :P

2. Good job
Right on, though if I had seen your predictions before we got the results on Saturday I admit that I probably would have yelled at you.

3. You may have nailed it, but you might want to edit
They weren't primaries; they were caucuses.

4. Great, any gain is good.
What happens to the uncommitted? Do they wait until the convention?

11. Most of the uncommitted are superdelegates.
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 05:01 PM by Truth2Tell
It looks like only one uncommitted delegate (if that) is likely to get through to the convention from the Congressional District caucuses. (The totals in my prediction included supers, hence the total number of 97). I'm actually an uncommitted delegate to the LD level myself, but it will be pretty hard to get to Denver that way - although I plan to try my ass off.

14. That's my plan. Live blog it baby!
If need be, I may settle as a delegate for one of the candidates by leveraging my support in exchange for sending me as the delegate. I watched a number of Kucinich people use that trick here four years ago. If I get there I plan to be vocal about pushing a real anti-war populist message. It would be fun.

16. you should brag!
I am impressed. I got the '06 election exact on the Senate and within 10 seats in Congress over 3 months before the vote. It's nice when your hunch pans out! GOOD JOB!!!
