If so and I can be assured that he won't run in 8 years, then maybe...MAYBE... I can be persuaded that Kerry/McCain is a good idea.

But here's the deal... The Democratic Party has a chance to run the show for the next 16 plus years (unless of course Kerry get's a Monica while in office) SOooooo why put a repuke into play and muck things up?

1. There is no such thing as being too old to run for office
Um, example SC and Strom Thurmond.

4. mccain will be 68 this year
he was born in 1936 in august so in 2012 he would be 76 years old. so VERY unlikely he would run for president.

2. wouldn't he be like 75 ?, so most likely, yes
in terms of legal issues, there is nothing to prevent him from running if he wants. but it's very unlikely he would run for president at that time if my numbers of him being around 75 then are right.

6. That's why I prefer Edwards to Clark
In 2012 Clark would be 67 whereas Edwards wouldn't even be 60. And all HE would have to do is pick the most presidential running mate no older than 50!
