Clinton supporters won't have that as an excuse if Obama wins. Of course I realize that won't stop the diehards from complaining that there are too many African American voters or too many college educated latte liberals for their candidate to prevail, but at least we'll be spared the cry of how undemocratic the process is.

I'm thankful for small blessings.

1. Certain states favor certain candidates.
That's national politics.

2. Out of the context of this campaign.
Do you really believe that caucuses are a fair and representative way to measure the will of voters?

3. States where 40% of registered Dems are black voters are probably going to go to
BO.

That's just the way it is.

5. Too many black folks, hence those primaries won't count
unless something unexpected happens.

6. Cali, I never complain when Obama wins a contest
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 02:58 PM by Tom Rinaldo
I never demand recounts when he gets 13% more votes than the polls predicted, cast on Diebold machines, like he did in South Carolina. I say he won that primary by whatever he won it by. I don't complain that it is not fair if Obama wins more delegates from a caucus where he lost the popular vote, like he did in Nevada. I say Clinton won the popular vote and Obama got more delegates.

I don't complain in advance in a post that the other side will pull out "the race card" while I pull out "the race card" first in my own post.

I don't like the caucus system. I don't like it if my candidate wins and I don't like it if my candidate loses. I do not think it is as democratic a process to have 1/5th the participation as a primary does and give up the secret ballot (which many but not all caucuses do). That happens to be my principled position. Does everything I believe from now on have to be viewed through the prism of who I happen to support?

7. Caucuses = Not representative meme. Primaries = too many black voters.
The Clinton team has an excuse for every occasion.

Pretty sad.

13. TX will be because of displaced Katrina victims.
I have no clue on Ohio... I lived there, columbus has such underlying racism, it's disgusting.

complaints about virtually all of Obama's wins, on the grounds mentioned in my OP.

16. I didn't say your prediction is inaccurate, just that it's recreational
I have no reason to doubt there will be assinine dismissals of tomorrows results based on ad hoc sophistry, and there will also be ugly gloating full of sexist overtones and violent metaphors from certain posters...

predictions are easy.

14. NOTE: If there is a substantial BLACK population OR is an activist-biased CAUCUS
then that contest does not count against Clinton.
It is like a freebee that the "system" provides to Obama because of his
Black Activist background.

15. you do realize that the overall state average for black populations is about 15%
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 03:36 PM by bigtree
and Md. and Va. have much higher populations of black voters than that, 40% or so. That's going to give Obama an edge because he'll take about 90% of the votes from that demographic group.

18. You make a post about trouble making Clinton supporters
by starting trouble with Clinton Supporters?

Why can't you just ignore the negative Clinton supporters and enjoy the contests the Obama wins, instead of sort of starting trouble with all Clinton supporters?

This post just keeps the ball rolling with the yammering back and forths. It pretty much saying, "Please attack Obama because we're going to attack Clinton"

Unless you enjoy the negative back and forths between anti-Obama and anti-Clinton people? Other than that I would just stay focused on Obama.

there are no blessings in this thread or something to draw the attention of a higher power to.
