I’m tired of being afraid.
I’m sick and tired, actually. For the past eight years I have been afraid to support whom I wish. I don’t just mean from arguments, I mean actually afraid for my safety and vandalism against me. In 2004 I wore my Kerry pin, but I didn’t put up yard signs, or bumper sticks, for fear. And now I find that I can be attacked not only by republicans who disagree with my choices, but also by my fellow democrats?

That’s not right.

The whole Hilary/Barack thing has gotten way out of hand. We’re all democratic people here, and for the most part Hilary and Barack have a lot of the same polices. So it’s really just a matter of picking which one you like better, but I guess that’s wrong; heaven forbid we have even slightly different points of view. :eyes:

To the people, on both sides, who say if their candidate doesn’t get the nomination, they will not vote. I say that is bullshit. In the end, the most important thing is that we get a democratic person into office. As I said before, they both have similar views on most issues, so is it really that much worse if one is chosen over the other? Only that your it isn’t your “favorite.”

Personally, I support Barack, and that’s not wrong! I feel he is something we need right now. That doesn’t make me stupid, or uneducated, or a “cult member.” :eyes:
If Hilary gets the nomination I will support her fully, because she is democratic. And any democratic person is better than a republican. Can we all agree on that much? Can please get together on that one point, so I don’t have fear my own?

Well after my long winded soap box speech, I really have only one point to make here; whomever gets the nomination, just vote! Because if you don’t vote, that achieves only one thing; it takes away from us and just adds more power to the republicans, and I cannot take another four years of them! I can’t, and this country can‘t! So please, for me, for the future. Vote blue. :patriot:

Now I’ll get my sorry ass back to the Lounge where everything doesn’t scare the living crap outta me!

6. I'm Sorry to Hear that You Fear to Use Your Right to Free Speech
and I can completely understand that fear. Fighting takes a lot, and it takes one away from the things one could or must be doing, instead.

I hope that the rest of your life becomes better, so that you are less stressed and able to fight, just a little, if you want to, for your rights.

15. In the same "support all Democrats" meme, everyone please donate to Dennis Kucinich
so that he may defeat the Republicans and corporatists who are attempting to remove one of our own from government.

30. I'll be interested in seeing whether he wins or not, as a measure of other Dems' support
who I hope are not making jokes about all of this. We are -way- past the point for jokes regarding freedom and Democracy itself.

And yes, I'll be voting for whoever is the Democratic nominee, come November.

19. I hate the negativity that's going on here
I went to a Clinton rally today and you didn't see any negativity. I'm sure the people there like Obama as much as I do. I can't understand why we tear down our own, when we have such a formiddable opponent to fight. Whoever has the D gets my vote in November.

21. Fear nothing
Follow your heart, follow it up with your head, and trust yourself.

No one can take that from you.

(P.S., I would have said this even if you said you were supporting McCain -- of course I might then have questioned why you were here, but that's another story).

22. You know what REV
:applause:
I chose the same person you chose after Edwards dropped out.
I have made it a point to NOT bash Mrs Clinton because I may have to defend her if she wins the nod.
People are acting like babies here..It is unproductive and childish.
And I struggle every moment here to stay on the high road.
I guess we just need to realize that some of the asshats are just shit stirring trolls who are better ignored than listened to.
I have placed about a dozen of them on ignore since last week..The air is much fresher with out the stench of bullshit.
(can you believe it I didn't ask to see your legs) :D

27. I will not vote for someone I never even heard of 12 months ago.
I will not vote for someone who does not take an honest yes/no position in Senate votes...but instead votes PRESENT 120 times.
I will not vote for someone who has a high absentee rate on his committee assignments.
I will not vote for someone who did not help his constituents in a town poisoned by tritium by the nuclear power plant nearby.....and Obama takes the company management's campaign contributions.
I will not vote for someone involved in purchasing/using cocaine and by extention the illegal drub trafficking business etc....

29. So you'll be voting for McCain then?
You might as well, since you're only give the republican votes more power. Or maybe you really don't care if they win? Hmmm.. one has to wonder.
