18. I've already been called by Obama's campaign.
I told them we had already voted. This was a couple or three hours ago. I believe Obama's folks are doing what they can to get out the vote. They'll find that cajuns are cagey.

I'm used to working with a paper list and script, but this is very cool. And easy.

Back to work.

13. Closed.
Which might possibly explain why turnout for Obama is low, since all of his Republican support can't vote.

25. Awesome phone calls this evening
Everyone I've spoken to has been so nice. I just spoke to one lady who forgot, and thanked me for the reminder. She's on her way out the door to vote right now!
Still a couple hours till the polls close.
Back to work.
:-)
I love phone banking.

19. I'm sorry to tell you,.

But, the answering machines are not telling you they're out voting, cher. Me thinks there are a lot of boats in the water, and steaks on the grill, and beer in the cooler. Its pretty today after four or five weeks of rain and cold. It is 75 degrees and much too beautiful for the young to be looking for a place to vote. They're partying, me thinks. We shall see. That is, after all these years, still the main direction the young at heart go.

22. Thanks.
I've spoken to a few who have either voted or are on their way to the polls. Had to look up a polling location for one of them, so good thing I called! Guess she'll be stopping by the party when she's done casting her ballot.

20. Drat, is Obama's website going out? I can't seem to log in to make calls.
And I was raised in Louisiana, and I'm sure that no one can talk a coon-ass into voting for Obama any better than I can.

27. As a New Orleanian who left in the diaspora...
I will tell you the people in Louisiana have a deep distrust of the federal government and have really only heard lip service from the major candidates pertaining to the ongoing nightmare. That might be why the turnout is low.
