Bloomberg not likely to run according to this article
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/09/nyregion/09bloomberg.html?ref=politics

He said that Mr. McCain’s emergence as the presumptive nominee essentially closed the window of opportunity for Mr. Bloomberg to mount an independent bid. Mr. McCain’s centrist views, Mr. Hagel added, would appeal to the very demographic that the mayor had hoped to attract, including independents and moderates.

2. But I heard McCain yesterday saying he *wasn't* a centrist....

>>> Mr. McCain’s centrist views, >>>

....he was a *conservative* He said it about eight times. In *one* speech.

So what kind of a "centrist" does that make Bloomberg?

4. I just got an email asking me to look
for petition gatherers for him at my polling place.

There is a group in Virginia that is seeking ballot access for Mayor Bloomberg and will be passing petitions at the polling places on Tuesday. They can use all the help they can get. So if you have an interest in helping them get their job done, please e-mail Joe Oddo right away at [email protected]. He can either send you the petition by e-mail for you to print, or deliver hard copies to your door. (You can check them out at their website: www.DraftMichael.com).

Thanks,
Doug Bailey

5. Does it seem every politican wants to run for President
just to increase their power and wealth? They don't really intend to win.

6. Neither Bloomberg or Hagel want to interfere with their old friend's
chances for the WH--that's my thinking. I would expect them to support McCain now. Bloomberg will probably raise him some money--oy.
