Hillary & Obama haters - GET OVER YOURSELVES!!! (MAJOR rant)
I've said this elsewhere, and I will say it here, because I am seeing a trend that scares the living daylights out of me. That is the trend of many supporters of Hillary or Barack to say that they will not vote (or worse yet, vote Rethuglican) if their chosen candidate doesn't get the nod at the DNC.

To these folks I say -

ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MINDS?!?!

Do you actually WANT 4 more years of Rethuglicans in the WH? Are you willing to sacrifice the ENTIRE progressive agenda on the altar of your infantile temper tantrums? Because it is YOU who will be responsible when:
-McCain sends us to war with Iran
-More American blood and treasure gets poured down the rathole called Iraq
-Our civil rights are eroded still further (if not eliminated) by the conservative judges McCain
will appoint
-Roe V. Wade is overturned by those self-same judges
-Millions of Americans STILL can't get health care

If you don't get behind the Democratic nominee (whomever s/he may be), then that is exactly what you'll get, and it is YOU who will be held accountable.

I am an Obama supporter, and proud to be so, as I think he's our best shot at beating McCain, and the head-to-head matchups at RealClearPolitics bears me out. (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/national.html)
But that said, I WILL be voting for Hillary (albeit with misgivings) should she be the nominee - 4 more years of the GOP in the White House is more than this country can take.

1. Exactly - k/r
Anyone who says they won't vote obviously is either stupid or hasn't paid attention the past 8 years.

2. Yes please.....cause your makin yourselves look just as bad as
the repukes....

I personally find it quite disgusting how you all are acting.....The world needs a DEM in the WH...it doesn't matter in the long run which one....it just matters getting one in there...

I mean come on!!

6. Even if Obama reaches out to Republicans & taps Lieberman to be his VP, I'm STILL gonna vote for him
That's how dedicated I am :smoke:

8. I'm with you on that 100%
It amazes me how so many people who profess to love democracy will only bother to participate if their dream-candidate is running. How many registered voters are there in this country? I can't believe I'm even saying this, but apparently it isn't obvious to everyone that not everyone can have everything 100% their way in a democracy. I'm almost 50 years old. If I had felt I had to wait for the perfect candidate to come along before I would lower myself to vote, I would never have voted in my entire life. Wouldn't the Republicans love it if we all did that!

9. If I could recommend this 100 times I would. I am so fucking sick of this bullshit
from Hillary and Obama fanatics alike. I would rather vote for Obama than Clinton (not that either is fully ideal for me), but I WILL vote in November. Fucking A people.
