11. That may very well happen.
I think that the vast majority of Romney voters would have Huckabee as their second choice. Too bad, though, that Huckabee attacked Romney with some mean-spirited barbs. The Republican wing of the Republican Party can't stand McCain, and the so-called "values voters" aren't going to join McCain, that's for sure.

26. Mittens will try again in 2012.....he gonna let McBlame take some hits and lose
and the Blues guys will win this year.

He is hoping the Dem Prez fails to clean up the act in 4 years so the Pub Party can blame them for the lack of success.

There is good odds Mittens will return to the fray in 4...

29. Right.
If McCain wins, Mitt gets something like RNC Chair; if he loses, Mitt has shown a loyalty to the cause that will put him in a front-runner's position.

4. Yep. Now it's about Independents.
Whoever attracts them, wins.

They love McCain and Obama.

They have not supported Hillary in the primaries thus far.

I think that makes it pretty obvious who our nominee should be.

For that reason alone I voted Obama on Tuesday. The need to win was the deal breaker.

15. Eh
McCain is their best shot. But they don't have much of a shot anyway.

Not counting chickens but the numbers Dems are pulling (Obama is winning the white male vote Dem yes but still) means everyone is sick of all this BS. McCain is so inside DC he needs a lobbyist to wipe.

23. They will fall in line
they always do. Once he has the nomination the nazi wing ceases to be that important anyway. They are a large block among primary voters in some key states but they are a small fraction of general election voters, particularly in the big electoral states.

Callers are talking about writing in Ron Paul ....This should be a cakewalk for Obama, should also be for Hillary. She has ALL of Faux news against her and repukes at my work so may be a little more rough for her. Obama can get many swing voters for sure...

40. Oh there will be plenty of talk
plenty of bluster. Then they will fall in line. At the end of the day, Republicans are nothing if not obedient. Especially if they can rationalize it by saying they are not voting for McCain but against Clinton.

27. And the one he focuses the most attention on is the one he wants to LOSE our primary.
In other words, he will use kid gloves against the one he WANTS to run against, and viciously attack the one he FEARS.

Look for the pattern.

The Pattern is clear for all to see...if they look for it....

and, I strongly suspect Obama getting Pub Monies to fund his campaign. Them Pubs will do anything to win, even gamble a little to up Obamas odds so they can better deal with him in the General...

39. I disagree with your analysis
they aren't denigrating Mrs. Clinton because they fear her, they are doing so because she is red meat to an otherwise disenchanted right wing base. If you honestly believe that Republicans don't want to run against Clinton I would love to visit your planet because I have obviously never been there.

The Master Pubs can only wish and hope...work to mess up the Dem side of things with nefarious interference...but in the end...will lose..

In a way...McBlame is being thrown under the bus by the Pubs...They care not for him but want the White House...evil bastids...
