Obama to Hold Rally at the 17,000 + Seat Key Arena in Seattle, WA on Friday
Obama coming to Key Arena Friday
Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has scheduled his biggest venue yet for the third Seattle visit of his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Obama, who won more primaries and caucuses on "SuperDuper Tuesday" than the Sonics have won basketball games all season, will speak to a free-of-charge rally at Key Arena.

The rally comes a day before Washington's precinct caucuses, a showdown between Obama's surging campaign and support built over years of appearances by Sen. Hillary Clinton and husband Bill.

Doors to the event open at 11 a.m. The campaign urges those who plan to attend to RSVP at 529-3859.

The Friday event follows a pattern of previous Obama speeches in the Emerald City. Dating back to a 2006 Garfield High rally with Sen. Maria Cantwell, Obama has consistently scheduled free or low-cost events.

The senator's last visit, in December, did feature a pricey fundraiser in The Highlands, but also rocked with a SoDo concert
.
Obama has drawn increasingly large crowds in recent days. Nearly 20,000 people turned out in St. Louis, and 18,000 heard Obama in Denver. Amazingly, in one of America's "reddest" states, 13,000 Idaho supporters jammed the Taco Bell Arena at Boise State University last Saturday.

The Obama visit will follow by about 12 hours Hillary Clinton's Thursday night appearance on the Seattle waterfront.

Bill Clinton was originally slated to appear in Seattle, but is being sent instead to Portland, Maine.
