A new "ignore" type of poster to add to the list: the "I won't vote
for candidate xyz in the general election"

Then, as a Democrat, I no longer have any interest in anything you say. Why should I?

So "ignore".

1. ROCK ON my main man!
I for one am looking forward to voting for HRC or Obama in November. We have a real candidate for a change - two of them to be exact!

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the dream ticket personally - HRC/Obama or Obama/HRC

9. I have seen very few of the "I won't vote for . . ." posts that really
have an opinion. Most of them just seem to be trying to stir up an argument.

6. so the voices of dissent should be ignored?
How REPUBLICAN of you.

I thought this party was supposed to be the BIG TENT party. I guess that only applies to the ones who agree with you?

8. just to make it easier for you - if Obama wins nomination I will vote for him but I will NOT vote
for Hillary.

:hi:

Guess if you can't understand that as a Democrat I refuse to vote lockstep for someone I do not believe in then you should go ahead and place me on ignore. I doubt there is much I care to hear from people like you as well.

19. I agree
I will never vote for the DLC. I have seen what they are about....keeping the Democrats out of the hands of the People. I will not be part of putting the DLC in the bully pulpit.

So y'all loyalty oathers can add me to your growing ignore list, as well. Just remember that a tent reserved for loyalists is a rather small tent and won't win elections.

20.  I won't ignore but this makes sense
People who won't ante up shouldn't be dealt a hand.

Its unfair that some people are able to participate in influencing an outcome which they won't respect if it doesn't go their way. What is the point of having a party nomination process if everybody is going to go their own ways at the end? I'll bet if Obama wins, you'll expect Hillary supporters to back Obama. You use the words "as a Democrat" but I don't see how you can be a Democrat when you only back candidates you choose and disregard the will of the party.

23. I don't believe the DLC is the Democratic party. Any more than I believe the neocons represent the
Republican party.

The DLC and the neocons both represent corporations, not the will of the people.

Hillary is DLC, the same group that approves of outsourcing America.

15. WELCOME TO IGNORE
These threads are tiresome, and rather pointless. The blunt object some DUers use here doesn't have the force you think it does. If anything, it has the opposite of the intended effect.

I will be voting for whomever rerceives the nomination. But what I want to know from you is how you feel about Michelle Obama not knowing if she will vote for Hillary if she is the nomination?

27. please don't dismiss the very real frustration people are feeling . . .
about being presented with two corporate candidates when we KNOW that the biggest problem facing this nation is corporate control of the government -- and the election process, for that matter . . . by saying "I won't vote for so-and-so," people are expressing the real fear that nothing of substance will change no matter who is elected . . .

personally, I can't stand either Clinton or Obama, and I don't believe for one second that electing either of them will solve any of our very critical problems . . . still, I'll probably vote for the Democratic candidate in November for one reason, and one reason only -- Supreme Court appointments . . .

but I reserve the right to change my mind . . .

28. This is precisely the sort of thinking that garnered Nader so many votes
Over 5.5% in Oregon in 2,000 -tuining solid blue into a battleground state.

Ignoring the progressive base- those who have a problem with pandering to the right (or the ephemeral center) is a sure stragegy for defeat come November.

But McCain is unthinkable. He's totally batshit crazy.
