Pledged Delegate Count from California so far - Clinton 42, Obama 23

This only includes pledged delegates. Clinton has also gotten around 22 superdelegates from California.

3. This is wrong
it doesn't work like that.

Less than half of the delegates are allocated proportionally by the total state vote.... a big chunk of the rest of the votes are allocated on a congressional district level. So if there are 4 delegates awarded for a district one of the candidates would have to get 75% to get the 3-1 advantage. So it is really hard to get a big advantage... Now if you look at all the states... there are more that Obama won by large margines meaning he was more likely to get 3-1, 4-2, etc splits at the district level. Its the same reason despite "losing" by 5% in Nevada he got equal or more delegates than clinton...

Obama's delegate counts account for this... CNN hasn't done this work yet.
